FirstBarkOur trainer Tessie Glazek is great. We chose the private coaching lessons. I feel like we were given the coaching we needed to help are pup be the best she can be. Tessie is friendly & easy to understand, patient we both pup & owner. I would highly recommend Sit means sit especially if you're having difficulty getting your rambunctious pup in line.

Do you guys encourage people to go to large gatherings of people with their dogs off leash??? Twice during Stacy Daze I observed a dog advertising you company with their dogs off leash.
Isn't it illegal to have your dog off leash at the park in Stacy? Or are service dogs an exception?

Only approved dogs. Both dogs that were there off leas have had extensive training and have earned that privilege. Both dogs were fully under control and service dogs to their people. Please reach out if you have any other questions.

My husband and I met with Tessie to discuss our reactive 5 month old puppy. I had been working with her but she was becoming reactive and I wanted to work with her on it before it became worse. The first meeting with Tessie was amazing. We felt like she would really be able to tailor the training to our dog. We completed 6 in home training sessions with the last one out at a park and the help we received was tremendous. We have been able to now let our dog off leash at home. We have taken her to the park and she no longer barks and lunges and people. We have even taken her to her first DQ trip and sat on the patio. She loves going to seeing new places. We would have never gotten to this point if it hadn’t been for Tessie. She is always available for questions or if I ever needed some reassurance she was there. We would highly recommend Tessie at Sit Means Sit!

I'm editing my review years later: new dogs new problems-- Same incredible outcome. We are repeat clients because different dogs need different approaches. Tessie is helping us find balance between our young livestock guardian dogs (who are litter mates to boot) and older house mutts. I haven't seen Tessie shy away from a challenge yet and she's so tuned into the dogs energy and behaviors my 4 year old daughter is inspired to train just like her. Like all dog training: you get what you put into it. That being said, these ladies do an incredible job of learning each dog and seeing the individual needs to build a better relationship with you and your dogs. We brought in our two girls ages 11 and 3 for constantly fighting each other to the point of vet visits and stitches. The girls are so much easier to de-escalate now and redirect them to something more productive.
We took our Dog Hank for disobedience training as Hank had a hard time listening and was overactive and would not listen. Tessie work with us for four weeks and after training was a completely different Dog. Much Thanks Tessie.
