I have a dog, maybe an American Bulldog, maybe some pit or boxer. I need him to be trained to walk on a leash. Can you do this? He’s about 100 lbs and about 18-24 months.

I have a 5 month old hound/pit mix. We did the free consultation and loved it. My pup will be starting school soon! He will learn to be a help to me as I am disabled. (Not a service dog training facility) I just want him to be able to help me out here and there. So excited!

We recently took our rescue dog, Tex, to Sit Means Sit, and overall, we are very satisfied with his training and experience. Wes met with us and Tex initially, and we explained that Tex was a rescue we found roaming around our neighborhood. When we first got him, he was very anxious, destructive, and struggled significantly with separation anxiety. After just his first day with Sit Means Sit, we noticed a huge improvement in his behavior, which was incredibly encouraging. We completed three private lessons and then transitioned into the group lessons. The training is definitely an investment, but overall, we feel it has been worth it. If we could change one thing, we would have preferred to have more private lessons. Three sessions just didn’t feel quite long enough, especially given our hectic schedules. Between my husband’s and my work schedules, it can also be difficult to consistently make the group lessons, so we haven’t been able to take advantage of them as much as we’d like. That said, we’ve learned a lot, and so has Tex. One of the biggest takeaways for us is that the training doesn’t stop when you leave the trainer. The secret is consistency and continuing to reinforce what they’ve learned at home. You can’t expect your dog to remember everything if you aren’t putting in the work, too! We’re looking forward to continuing Tex’s education and building on the progress he’s already made. Overall, we’re happy with the experience and would recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone who is willing to put in the work alongside their dog.
Training has been great! We have a goofy chocolate lab named Bucky who has been in for two days of instruction. In just a week, he has already shown a tremendous difference in his ability to follow instructions such as come, sit, and stay. He also is night and day on walks where he used to pull immensely and did not pull at all during walks this week. Life changing!
I highly recommend Sit Means Sit for any dog training. Their knowledge of your own dog’s temperment and needs to have a successful training is amazing. I knew I was in the right place at the very first class, and wouldnt go to anyone else for future trainings. The confidence they gave me, as the handler and my dog, as the student is beyond compare. Extremely pleased with their training techniques.
We attended the 6 weeks of CGC. They were amazing at guiding us in the right direction no matter the question or concern. Highly recommend to anyone who wants guidance at training correctly. Thank yall so much!
