Do you offer training for a week to drop off dog at your location?
Hello Michael, thanks for reaching out! It sounds like you're describing a board & train program which we no longer offer. We have switched over to a day training model which is still immersive like boarding programs but are only 1 day a week for a number of weeks and you have a lesson with your dog at the end of the day training. We have found that day training is a very effective training format to not only fully train your dog, but gives us the opportunity to make sure that owners have all the tools they need to continue with training management, ultimately providing long lasting and reliable results. We Cannot say enough about the Sit Means Sit team and our trainer Douglas! Our 8 year old cattle dog mix with high anxiety, easily distracted, stranger danger, constant barking/whining, pulling while walking, and charging moving vehicles, is already turning a whole new leaf! She is less stressed and so are we! Her barking and whining has dialed back. Putting a leash on her is not a dreadful daunting task as she is calmer and more attentive to the process and is more task oriented and focused on us when we need her to be! Though this is just the start of our training journey with our pup Ripley we ALL show promise as well! The training isn’t just for the dog but the owners too. We look forward to group classes and future support from the Sit Means Sit team.

The trainers at Sit Means Sit were very supportive and encouraging of us and our dog as we went through training. Our bulldog, Edna, can be very stubborn, and they were understanding but firm with her. We still have a long way to go with lots of practice required, but Edna is doing so well thanks to Sit Means Sit!

We are so thankful that we found Sit Means Sit. When we dropped Auggie off on the first day and they said 'be ready to come back to a new dog' we were more than skeptical. However, they were right! This little guy has mastered sit, come, place, off and heel. Life is so much easier not having to worry about 60 pounds of puppy pulling during a walk! My dog Cintra had me losing my patience and getting very frustrated. She is a German shepherd mix with Siberian Husky....so a working dog but stubborn/dramatic. She was driving me nuts and would not listen to me. I knew she just needed more structure but I just didn't know how to go about that. Finally I found the amazing people at Sit Means Sit at Northfield. These guys are amazing and talk to me like a normal human being. Treated Cintra like family and love her almost as much as I love her. Cintra is phenomenal! A total 180. She has the structure that she needs and knows the commands...and best of all...mom isn't losing her mind anymore🤣. As long as you follow through with what the trainers tell you to do and stick with it, with also good communication about your dog...your dog's behavior is sure to improve 100%. Thank you guys so much!!
