I have two very stubborn German Shepherds that are from the same litter. We came to Sit Means Sit as it was our last hope. I know many believe in their techniques and there are some who do not. I can say I am convinced this was the right choice. The reason I say this is not only were these GSD stubborn but so was I. We worked with Doug who was absolutely the most outstanding Teacher and Trainer. He assessed our situation and clearly realized he had two German Shepherds who were used to getting their way and one owner who babied them. I had excuses for them and Doug had answers. In short Doug taught me the skills I needed to be the Best Dog Mom and it wasn’t easy I was worse than my boys. But kudos to Doug he found a solution that I could relate to and the boys and it was called tough love. But at the fourth weeks my husband and I could not believe the manners they learned. They are truly a joy to be around and yes I am still in training. One has to realize animals need structure just like humans and you aren’t doing them favors by not giving them direction and jobs. Oh and the husband was the overachiever there is always one! Thank you Doug and Sit Means Sit we look forward to our continued journey with you all.

Great experience. I did the 4 day training and it was a world of difference. The trainers were super nice and patient with me and my dog. Answered every question I had. I would go back if I get another dog without a second thought.

I brought my little Yorkie Poo, Lady to Sit Means Sit for the 5 week course because she was very hyper, unruly and hard to train. She was going to the bathroom in the house and although that isn't something they specifically train on, once she went through the course she did that a whole lot less. The training was fantastic and Lady and I really loved Lily her trainer. I would highly recommend them if you are looking to get your dog under control. They will train and give you the tools to use at home but keep in mind, it's also up to you the owner to be doing the work and being consistent at home.
