Sit Means Sit Dog Training - Cecil County Maryland and Delaware

We took our puppy Henry to Sit Means Sit, and he was very appropriately nicknamed Hurricane Henry! He’s a 1 year-old Golden Retriever/Lab mix and was nonstop energy from the moment we walked in. He jumped on everyone, pulled me through the door, and dragged me to every person he saw. Total chaos. After just four weeks in the Day Train program with his amazing trainers, Kasey and Marissa, Henry is truly a different dog. He’s still our goofy, lovable hurricane but now he actually listens! His ability to dial in and follow commands has improved SO much, and just as importantly, we learned how to handle him and guide him through his high-energy moments. Henry now has great leash manners, no longer pulls us around, can go to his place, and is overall so much easier (and more fun!) to be around. We’ve also used Day Care program at Sit Means Sit, and Henry absolutely LOVES it. He is always excited to be there, and when he comes home, he’s happy, calm, and completely worn out (which is a win!). It’s clear he feels comfortable and confident there, and we always know he’s in great hands. We love the Day Care reports that we get at the end of the day. We are beyond happy with the results and can’t say enough good things about Kasey, Marissa, and the entire Sit Means Sit team. If you have a wild, energetic pup, this program is 100% worth it!

Words can't express how grateful I am for Sit Means Sit. Louie came back from his two-week board and train a completely different dog - calmer, happier, and so much more confident. Before training walks were a nightmare and strangers were a huge trigger. Now, we enjoy peaceful walks and his manners at home have improved beyond what I imagined. My family and friends notice too. The best part? The support didn't end when I picked him up, the team continues to check in and cheer us on. SMS didn't just help Louie, they gave us both a new lease on life. I'll be forever be thankful for their dedication and care.

From Roxie: This is a message to my trainers at SMS. I did NOT need training, my handler did since I was her first dog and a stubborn Jack Russell Terrier. I knew all the basic commands but sometimes I just don't want to do it, she laughs and I get away with it. She learned a ton through the first five weeks and now we will start the group classes. Looking forward to getting her further trained so that I continue to be the cutest thing on the planet but make no mistake, I remain the boss! From Brigitte: SMS is great for basic training, since I knew nothing and rescued my JRT at 3 years old from an abusive breeder, we needed to build trust first and now that she came out of her shell in the last 10 months it was time to get back to basic for her and for me to learn to be a dog handler. This is a journey and I am thankful for the trainers at SMS who are very professional and kind and I look forward to these group classes.... but make no mistake, she remains the boss! :)
