We are SO pleased with our experience with Sit Means Sit! We placed our head strong , stubborn, overly enthusiastic Black Mouth Cur boy in their board and train program and the results have literally changed our lives. Arlo came to us as a wild and crazy puppy and none of our training seemed to work to manage his exuberance. We struggled with dog reactivity, occasional people reactivity, a high prey drive that led to attempts to chase cars and cats, poor leash manners and recall, and a general attitude that he was the boss and could do whatever he wanted. We spent months trying every training technique the internet had to offer with little success. No amount of exercise could calm his wild behavior. Enter Sit Means Sit and their excellent trainer, Peyton! During the initial consult, Peyton sat down with us and Arlo and went through all of the issues we were having and our goals for Arlo. She walked us through their process and answered every question we could think of. When Arlo started his boarding session, we received daily pictures, videos, and report cards to let us know how he was adjusting and how his training was going. The dog we saw in the videos seemed like a different dog! He was walking in a perfect heel at home improvement stores, laying quietly in place, playing happily with other dogs, and staying in sit and recalling like a champ. When the training period was over and we came to take Arlo home, Peyton spent an hour and a half going over every part of his training with us to give us the hands on experience we needed to continue his training at home. We later followed up with another two hour training session to focus on a few things we needed to improve upon now that he was settled back into his daily routines. Throughout it all, Peyton was calm, communicative, and professional and it was clear that Arlo loved being with her. Fast forward a few months and life with Arlo has changed so much for the better! We enjoy walking him knowing that he won’t pull our arms off or lunge at other dogs or cars. He’s also living his best life with the freedom he gets off leash at our farm since we now have a reliable recall. We went from wanting to pull our hair out in desperation to fully enjoying our time with the newest member of our family! If you’re considering Sit Means Sit for your training needs, do it! It’s so worth it!

Sit Means Sit was awesome for my 5 month old Australian Shepherd! Before coming in, my dog had terrible leash manners and struggled with many basic manners. Sit Means Sit staff worked through his struggles. They sent me pictures and videos of my dog every night around the same time. They even went above and beyond to take him to Academy and Home Depot to expose him to public places and people! Would recommend them to anyone! Very pleased with the whole experience.
