We offer In Home Training, as well as Board and Train and Day Train Programs. We specialize in off-leash control, regardless of distractions. We also have been successful in rehabilitating many aggressive dogs, some of which now work as therapy dogs!

Where do your training lessons take place?
One of our biggest training philosophies is tackling any training issue at the root of the problem, which is usually away from the home under distracting environments. That being said, we encourage both private and group training sessions at our facility or in a public setting that we refer to as “field trips”! Hi Daryl, every dog is different when it comes to previous knowledge and behaviors prior to training with us, but many of our clients will see improvements in their dog after the very first lesson! Yes, we do! Depending on your dog's current skill level, we will usually begin with on-leash training around distractions until you feel confident in your dog’s recall training. Delta just needed some manners and she certainly has them now. Thank you to Lamont and the Sit Means Sit staff for taking such good care of my big ol puppy!

We had a really great experience with Sit Means Sit in Albuquerque. The trainers are knowledgeable, patient, and clearly care about both the dogs and the owners.
What really stood out to us is that all of the staff genuinely cared about our dogs and made an effort to connect with them. We have two dogs, a heeler and a mastiff, and both breeds can be pretty stand-off-ish with strangers. The team was able to bond with them quickly and this truly impressed us.
A special thank you to the three trainers we have worked with. They were all calm, confident and did an excellent job explaining not just what to do, but why it works. That made a huge difference for us in building consistency at home.
Our heeler went through the introductory training, and our mastiff completed the 5-day board-and-train program. Both dogs have benefited, and we’ve seen real progress in their behavior. We feel much more confident handling different situations now, with both dogs present.
We also recognize that consistency is key. We’re continuing to train ourselves as much as our dogs, making sure we’re using the techniques they’ve been taught and reinforcing those behaviors at home. The program really set us up with the tools to do that successfully.
We’re looking forward to attending group trainings in the future to keep building on what we’ve learned.
I would absolutely recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone looking for professional, results-driven dog training.

When we brought our Aussie mix here, she would not allow a person outside our immediate family to even come close to her. I was stunned that after only two days here, the trainers were not only petting her but also loving on her with no issues. We will bring Scully back over and over again. The people here treat the dogs under their care with kindness, warmth and care. Five stars all the way!

I took my dog, Peri, a 1 year old Doberman to Sit Means Sit. She is a high energy, rambunctious girl who loves to play and hates to work. The trainers and staff were able to channel her high energy into focus and drive. I am now confident that I can continue with their training program at home and we can grow together and achieve success. I highly recommend them!
