This place saved our dog! A heartfelt thank you to Rodney and Sam. The plan you devised to help our reactionary dog was brilliant and extremely effective. My dog bit a contractor working at our home and we immediately considered putting him down. You can imagine the pain we went through when making that decision. We have had him for six years and while some bad behavior existed, we never thought he would lash out and bite a non threatening person. We made plans to euthanize him and had a family meeting to let them know our decision. Our kids and grandkids helped us by find Sit Means Sit in Monroe, MI. We met with Rodney, the owner. While he made no secret of what we would need to do to help a reactionary, anxiety laden dog with resource protection issues and the progress would be long and slow. We decided to enroll our dog and at least give him a second chance at life. That’s when we met Sam, Rodney’s head trainer and she’s an animal whisper for sure. Our dog who was previously a little stubborn and around 80 lbs & she wrangled him, took charge, and he has been a changed dog since. We are now practicing the methods and techniques they taught us and come to find out, we were the cause of most of his behavioral issues. We will never have him around unfamiliar people without his E-Collar and muzzle and complete control with our new found skills.
