These programs are designed specifically for puppies because their first 20 weeks are the most important when it comes to training! If we teach them the proper way to behave from the start, it can prevent unwanted behaviors in the future.

Understanding the root cause of the dog's aggression and fear is essential. Identifying these triggers allows us to develop a targeted training plan.
Positive reinforcement techniques are key in addressing this behavior. We focus on rewarding calm and non-aggressive behaviors while gradually desensitizing the dog to their triggers. This might involve creating a safe and comfortable environment for the dog, providing mental stimulation, and engaging in activities that build trust and confidence.
Consistency is paramount in our training approach. We establish clear boundaries and expectations for the dog's behavior, ensuring that everyone involved in their care follows the same guidelines.
Do you expose dogs to different environments and situations during training?
This is our favorite. During our trainings we train around many other dogs, go on field trips all around the community and of course our group classes are where we create confidence building drills for real life scenarios.

I have been very pleased with Sit Means Sit. My Doberman is a frisky puppy. We first went to puppy preschool that was very beneficial especially for the socialization with other dogs. She moved to the four day trainings then moved to once a week hour training. She needs more calmness training and they are providing this extra training for her. She is just eight months old.
All of the instructors are knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions. I am pleased that I chose Sit Means Sit. I know that my puppy will become a well behaved dog.

I was hesitant at first.my 11 month mini poodle was to smart to listen!!! We have been to another training didn’t work. Then in the first week of training at sits means sit I had a new dog. It takes work but well worth it.

I recently enrolled my five year old pit boxer mix Luna into the board and train. She has so much energy, wants to be everyone's friend, and has a need to be in everyone's personal bubble. She is very stubborn and wants to go where she wants to go. She would pull so hard on the leash that my arm would go numb and I felt like I would lose my grip on her.
When she finished the board and train, she was like a whole new dog! She is still the same high energy dog that I love, but now with better control. I can walk her without fear that she will either pull and hurt me or jump at someone and knock them over.
Not only did Luna get better. I did as well. The training sessions after the board and train have been a life saver. The staff will teach you how to handle and understand your dog. It was eye opening to see all the little bad habits I've developed. Seeing the change after correcting those habits felt amazing.
I am so grateful for this program. The staff is amazing and very friendly. I recommend this program to everyone who needs help with their dog.

Sage is the best! She has been training my French bulldog since day one! He was very reactive and a huge resource guarder. She taught him all the commands to set him up for success and he is one of the best trained dogs I have ever had. I have had an amazing experience with them! I also still board my dog here when I go out of town. 10/10 would recommend!
