Positive reinforcement techniques are key in addressing this behavior. We focus on rewarding calm and non-aggressive behaviors while gradually desensitizing the dog to their triggers. This might involve creating a safe and comfortable environment for the dog, providing mental stimulation, and engaging in activities that build trust and confidence.
Consistency is paramount in our training approach. We establish clear boundaries and expectations for the dog's behavior, ensuring that everyone involved in their care follows the same guidelines.
Do you expose dogs to different environments and situations during training?
This is our favorite. During our trainings we train around many other dogs, go on field trips all around the community and of course our group classes are where we create confidence building drills for real life scenarios.

One thing we really appreciated was that the trainers came to our home and worked with us directly, teaching us how to reinforce the training ourselves.

The Best trainers ever have helped my pups become the best dogs ever. It has been amazing to see the progress from before their training to now. There are still plenty of things to keep working on but that’s why we love the staff because they answer all our questions and concerns.

They listen to me and they are really good with the recalls. There are somethings that we still need to work on, but we can see the difference.

Best dog training in Utah. My husband and I interviewed several training options and were super impressed with Sit Means Sit the first visit, so impressed we signed up on the spot. Their trainers and philosophies are simple and effective to follow and have made our lives stress free with our Doberman. Tino is so much better walking I no longer fear how he will react to other dogs when out and about. I look forward to walking him and feel so “bad ass” as he heels to perfection, easily responds to my commands, truly a pleasure to walk now. He is so much better in the home with every day things like not reacting to dogs on the TV, people coming to our door, reacting to our cat and just being the “best boy” ever!. Worth every cent of the investment. We are VERY impressed and HIGHLY recommend them to our friends and neighbors. 10/10

My dog has shown huge improvements. She is not as reactive to other dogs or loud sounds. We still have some work to do with her on her with guarding me with anyone around me. The only reason I did not give a 5 star is because the individual trainings are far a part because they are booked out so far. I still recommend them to anyone!!!
