Sit Happens

We recently hired Vitoria of Sit Happens and she is wonderful. Had the assessment and first training for Bernedoodle puppy. Vitoria really helped us understand what it means to be a dog and what our fur baby needs. She is absolutely right and we see positive changes just after this first session. We are looking forward to the next session and many more. I’m highly confident Vitoria will help make us and our puppy very happy and take the stress level way down. We had such a great experience with Vitoria! From the moment I submitted my information online, she reached out right away and was so prompt and easy to communicate with. Setting up our initial appointment was simple and convenient. During our first session, she took the time to understand our home setup, our dog’s current behaviors, and what we’re hoping to achieve. She offered so many helpful tips and practical tools to start making changes right away, and she kindly reminded us that patience and consistency are key. She was very nice, knowledgeable, and encouraging throughout the visit. We’re really looking forward to continuing our sessions with her and can’t wait to see our cute pup develop better manners! We recently began training our dachshund puppy with Vitoria to work on some behavioral challenges. Like many puppies, she struggled with boundaries and tended to guard her favorite chews. After just one session, we’ve already noticed a huge difference- our puppy is learning to relax, trust us to make decisions, and simply enjoy being a puppy while we get to enjoy her even more. I highly recommend the help of Vitoria if your dog, like ours, needs a little extra structure.

I hired Vitoria to help me with a few issues I was having with my 8-month-old Pekingese. First issue was, he was pulling on his harness when I would walk him. It was so bad we couldn't really have a nice walk. She taught me that I actually needed a leash instead of a harness because the pull of a harness is not like a pull with a leash. With the leash when he would pull it would get tighter around his neck which would signal to him, he needed to slow up. We are still in training with this, but it is working. He's just a puppy with a lot of energy. Second issue was anger/control issues. My little guy didn't like when I took something away from him that he wanted or made him stop doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing, and he would get mad and try to bite. Vitoria showed me how to control the situation and to let him know that I was in charge. When moments like this happen, I grab the scruff of his neck and hold him there until he surrenders. This shows him I am in control. I've had to do it a couple of times. He's learning fast. The third issue was claiming my space at the front door. He is doing marvelous in this area. He knows the word and hand signal for stay. I can't believe with just one visit how great Vitoria was in recognizing what my little guy needed. She is absolutely amazing, and I HIGHLY recommend her if ever you are in need. She is making my life and by dogs life much happier.
