Stephanie is great! I first started working with Stephanie last fall after I adopted a 3 year old lab from a family member. The doggie was very very nervous, and scared of many things including: going up and down the stairs, walking on wood floors, walking in front of the basement door even with the door closed, and the list goes on and on. Stephanie's first priority was and still is what is best for the dog. Stephanie's focus is on what is going to help build the dogs confidence so that she lives as fulfilled and as happy of a life as she can. Today, I can hardly believe how far she has come. Her confidence in navigating the house is remarkable. She is comfortable on walks. When she first learns or conquers something that she was afraid of, she is so proud of herself! It is just amazing to see this growth. Our next goal that we are working toward will be to have her sit for her CGC. With Stephanie training us, I am completely confident that we can achieve that.

Stephanie has been great to work with for training my lab, Willow! Some of the biggest behaviors I wanted to work on with Willow were barking in the yard, jumping and pulling on walks (especially hiking). Pretty much immediately the issues with barking and pulling went away and with some persistence in training she's doing so much better with jumping and I'm confident she'll get to a point where it's no longer an issue. The best part of the training for me is that Stephanie has tailored the training to my unique goals and has met me out hiking, sitting outside a coffee shop and hanging outside a brewery with my dog since these are the types of things I'd like to be able to do with my dog. Willow now gets complimented all the time when we got out and when my friends come over. I'm very happy with my decision to reach out and start training with Shickle and feel that it has been money and time extremely well spent!

For nearly 6 months (what felt like years) my girlfriend and I struggled with our reactive dog, Kohen, on a leash when he would see other dogs. He would bark, growl, lunge and make himself look mean to other dogs. After we found Andy, we asked about the boarding program offered and he recommended that we stick with the basic training offered. Ever since signing up, Andy has taught us numerous ways of how to handle Kohen when he sees other dogs, as well as building our communication skills with him to stop his reactivity. While most of our training sessions were over the winter in cold weather, every one of these meetings were enjoyable and exciting to see the progress Andy helped us to create with Kohen. If I could give this review more stars I would, because every penny spent on training was worth it. Huge thank you to everything Andy and Shickle K9 have done for us! I would recommend them to anyone looking for any kind of dog training.
