I cannot say enough good things about Shepherds K9 Services! I used a different training service for three of my dogs about 10 years ago and had planned to use them again with my new lab/shepherd mix puppy I adopted last summer. However, my mom had used Stephanie (owner) and Shepherds K9 Services with her dog Ruby two years ago and highly recommended I meet with Stephanie first as she said I would "absolutely love her" and she was right! Stephanie and her team are some of the most professional, knowledgeable, and amazing people I have ever worked with. My Puppy Leo stayed at her training facility for three weeks and he came back with manners and training that have made life with him and my equally rambunctious toddler so much more peaceful. Stephanie is always available for follow-up questions and any additional training sessions needed in the future. Leo has grown leaps and bounds since working with her and most people can't believe it is the same dog when they come over. I cannot recommend Stephanie and Team more and will be using her for any future training needs!

Stephanie did an outstanding job training our German Shepherd puppy. Before we found her, we tried a "highly recommended" local trainer for our 1-year-old German Shepherd. However, after a few days, they told us they couldn’t train her because her anxiety made her too difficult to handle. Of course that was after they took our money and we didn't get any sort of refunds. A few months later, I reached out to Stephanie, explained the issues we were facing with our dog, and shared our experience with the previous trainers. I scheduled an evaluation, and after spending about an hour with our puppy, Stephanie developed a plan for her training. We decided on the 4-week in-kennel training, and while I was initially skeptical, I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions we made. Now, a year later, our dog is amazing! She has excellent recall, great obedience, and walks off-leash better than we ever imagined. Stephanie was upfront with us throughout the process, giving us honest expectations—she made it clear that our dog would always have her quirky, shy side, especially around strangers. But we now have a well-behaved, though still quirky, German Shepherd who no longer destroys things and hasn’t shown unprovoked aggression. One thing I’d mention is that I initially expected a bit more frequent communication throughout the process. We still received updates when we reached out, and I understand Stephanie was busy training our dog and others, so it wasn’t a major issue. Overall, I would highly recommend Stephanie and plan to bring all our future dogs to her for training.

We sent our one-year-old rescue dog to Stephanie for training shortly after adopting her and could not be happier with this decision. With my husband and I both working demanding full time jobs and two young children, we knew the best way to give Shadow the training she needed would be the board and train. Since Shadow has returned to us, she has exceeded all of our expectations. Prior to leaving her with Stephanie, she was highly reactive around dogs (not aggressive, but reactive). We can now walk her through our neighborhood and be confident that she will follow our lead. She understands "place" and quickly goes when instructed if a guest arrives at the house. She still has her playful energy but is quick to pay attention with commands. The best part of the experience was the training we as a family received at the end of Shadow's session. Stephanie walked through everything she and her staff had observed about Shadow during their time with her (very helpful since we had only adopted her a few weeks prior to this training) and then walked us through how to lead Shadow both on a leash and eCollar. It was a great foundation for us to be able to continue developing her training at home.

Our chocolate LabradorDoodle was out of control would not obey and was running the house so a co-worker suggested Stephanie at shepherdsk9. He stayed there for 4 weeks we didn't know what to expect but we knew this was our only hope for keeping him. 4 weeks later he came home a completely different dog!!!! Obeying all commands! Stephanie gave us a list of commands and training to continue at home and it's working! If your dog needs obedience training Stephanie is the only choice... She is the best! Thank you Stephanie!
