Martin Bell took a lot of time talking with me in assessing our needs in training our Weimaraner Puppy, Stormy. We left him at the kennel for three weeks. Every week I got videos of Stormy’s progress. Both he and his wife, Shelly are trainers. So they both worked with him to be sure he would be trained and listen to by both male and female. We are very pleased with the outcome and this is about a month later. They guarantee their work. I will be back for refreshers on some fine points. The beautiful thing is Storm cannot be left alone before. He has separation anxiety and would be destructive. He now stays home with his sister Weimaraner and he has demonstrated perfect behavior!! Furthermore, although a crate trained storable, he would never get back in the crate. Now I have him in there an hour a day just for him to relax, and to keep him used to it in case I ever need to crate him.
Martin and Shelly are personable, really easy to talk with and absolutely love our dogs. Stormy was in great hands. Furthermore, they are well-versed about the Canine diet and we actually changed our dogs food and he looks great!
I can’t say enough positive things furthermore the facility is so so clean, sparkling really and there is always fresh water for the dogs!!

Marty and I took our one year old Black Lab mix, Cooper to Martin and Shelly when he was about 3 or 4 months old for three week training session. Cooper came back to us very well trained and had obviously been very well taken care of. We got a bit slack in our follow-up and Cooper got a bit out of control. We took him back for a "tune-up" last week. Picked him up two days ago and he is back to beautiful behavior. Martin and Shelly take great care of Cooper when he is there. He is happy and seems to fit right in. We could not be happier with Shelmar and trust Martin and Shelly completely. And if you slip a bit like Marty and I did, don't hesitate to contact Shelly and Martin for help. Shelly responds graciously to emails when you get back home and have issues and/or questions. We would not take our dogs anywhere else but Shelmar. They are THE BEST!
