She's a Keeper Dog Training

Our strong willed, confident, fun loving labrador puppy had the best time attending Puppy Kindergarten at She’s A Keeper. She absolutely adored her trainer Vanessa who prepared the pups for the AKC Puppy S.T.A.R certification on the completion of the 6 week course. The structured, professional, kind and gentle method of training used by Vanessa showed us how important it was to her that our puppy succeeded, and yes the importance of mom and dad’s practice and reinforcement with training at home. Vanessa with the assistance from Veronica certainly benefited our Journey, while learning her manners she had lots of fun playing with the other pups and big dogs boarding at SAK. The positive attitudes, knowledge, patience, high energy and spirit gave us the confidence that we picked a great training experience for our precious fur baby.

She’s a Keeper truly has set me up for success being a first time dog parent. Before even getting my dog, I consulted with Isys via Zoom who helped me prepare for my dog's arrival home and talked to me about the options moving forward with training. I decided to do the 10 private lessons at my home and was so fortunate to get Summer as the assigned trainer! Summer was an INCREDIBLE dog trainer who taught me the foundations of basic training in a way that was not intimidating and was easily understood and implemented! She was always on time, had great communication skills and was knowledgeable about all areas when I would have questions. We were able to complete sessions in the home and eventually explored sessions in the community which provided me the confidence to take my puppy out more regularly to socialize in different settings, which was such an important skill to learn early on. My puppy and I were truly sad when the 10 pack was gone! I highly recommend private training sessions and have nothing but great things to say about working with Summer! In addition to the private lessons, my dog also completed a board and train in October 2021 (which I can’t say enough great things about) and she attends daycare at the facility!! All the staff are so welcoming, helpful and truly love the dogs! Following the board and train, I wanted to continue training for my dog to potentially one day be a therapy dog. To begin the process I signed up for the CGC class with Vanessa & Veronica. I was nervous to take this next step, but V & V helped every step of the way and ensured that we were confident to complete the tasks to pass the test! Following the CGC, I completed CGC in the Community with Vanessa & Veronica as well! This class was fun! Being able to go different places in the community and working on all the skills to pass the test, helped building my confidence with handling my dog. Overall, I could not recommend these classes more. They set you up for success not only taking the tests but also with taking your dog out in the community more reliably. I am so grateful for Vanessa's knowledge and Veronica's support! V & V are such an asset to the SAK Team and I highly recommend taking a class or sending your dog to daycare so they get to meet them!!

I have had nothing but the most positive experience with She's a Keeper. Veronica and Vanessa have been amazingly supportive in finding the right training path for my fuzzy, four-legged handful. With their help, she's transformed into a upstanding member of society, and even been put to work with therapy visits. They really are foundational partners in my dog's life, providing excellent care, guidance, support, and even grooming. Highly recommend!

It's been about 4 months since we had our miss Mango dropped of at She's a Keeper for her Board & Train program. Isys, Andy, and Jackson were all so amazing during the drop off, with questions for us and really getting a good understanding of our main goals for the three weeks. They also walked us through their process so we knew what to expect during the timeframe. We had done an initial training session with Jo back in March of 2022 and we instantly knew that we wanted to work with them to look to help us learn more about our pup and be successful. Through some anxiety and tummy issues during Mango's stay, the team at SaK were consistently in contact with us and made every effort to make sure Mango was comfortable during her stay. We sincerely appreciate all that the team did for her. She also made some amazing new friends during her time there, particularly Remy and Rosie, her two B&T buddies. Since the day we got her back, she has been a different dog in the absolute best way. She absolutely LOVES her place cot, has been so much more confident in public, walks like a dream, and we can finally play with her in the yard off leash knowing she will come right to us when called. We were able to fine tune her diet and make sure she was getting the proper nutrients as she has the craziest metabolism of any dog we've ever owned! During our follow up with Andy, Mango was so excited the moment she heard his voice and it was amazing to see such a strong bond form between them in the 3 weeks. We hope to bring her back soon for more work and time with the pack so that she can continue to grow and to learn more about being the best owners we can for Mango's future.
