She's a Keeper Dog Training

We can’t say enough great things about She’s A Keeper and Isys and Andy. Our dog recently completed the 3 week board and train. He came back more disciplined but also he’s so much happier, he understands the expectations of him, he’s so well behaved and it’s created a wonderful home for environment for all of us. He now does daycare once a week and boards there when we go away. Clearly Andy, Isys and their staff love what they do and that shows in all their work. We couldn’t be happier!!

I can’t say enough good things about She’s a Keeper and Andy’s board and train program. My dog just finished, and the transformation has honestly been incredible. He’s now off-leash trained, which has completely changed our day-to-day life. But beyond that, he’s calmer, more responsive, and just seems so much more settled and confident overall. Watching his daily videos and seeing the consistency in his training made it so clear how much care and intention goes into what Andy does. Andy is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also thoughtful, communicative, and clearly genuinely cares about the dogs he works with. I always felt like Bagel was in the best hands. I’ve also used their boarding since the program ended, and it’s been just as great. This was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my dog, and I’m so grateful to Andy, Isys, and the team. Highly, highly recommend.

Around a year ago, my 6 month old cocker spaniel began training with Avery, who is a trainer at she’s a keeper. I had the 20 class private training package and he would do lessons every week at my house. I am a first time dog owner so every recommendation I was given, I followed. I had troubles with crate training and socializing my dog because he was on the more nervous side. Prior to training with Avery, my dog was nervous but always adjusted to everyone and never showed true fear. Avery thought that forcing interactions with people and physically picking up my dog and forcing strangers to pet him was the best way to go about fixing the nervousness. My dog peed all over him multiple times and was frozen in fear, but Avery still believed this was the best approach to use. From that day on, my dog has been extremely reactive to people. He has lost trust in any stranger and barks and growls at anyone that even looks at him. Avery worked with my dog 6 months prior to this training lesson where this occurred, and he should have known better. He is extremely unqualified to be training dogs and I have been working with my dog every day since that lesson to attempt reversing the damage he caused. If you look up anything about training a nervous and timid dog, what occurred was the number one thing not to do. I am disgusted that I spent the amount of money I did with this business for the experience I received, and someone as unqualified as him should not be training dogs. I know that people have good experiences with this company, and I understand every dog is different and will respond differently to specific training methods. But to not understand a dogs body language and use one method as a perfect science is wrong, especially when it wasn’t working for multiple months before that.

I have only great things to say about She’s a Keeper. Our beagle attended the board and train program, and that program was the best thing we did. Our dog now attends day care once a week and goes on a hike once a week with SAK. When we are away we board our dog with SAK, and know that our dog will be well cared for and have fun at the same time. They use video and Facebook to let you know how your dog is doing. The people with SAK are knowledgeable and professional. They are able to explain canine behavior and how to correct it. SAK is a very organized and well run business.

I have known Andy one of the co-founders of She’s a Keeper for a few years now. Whenever I saw Andy training dogs I was always impressed and knew if I ever got a dog they would train with their company. Over the past year I got a Lab puppy and took private lessons with She’s a Keeper to get started. When my puppy was a little older, we did the board and train program and let me say they and the results are amazing! Their facility is well maintained and spacious! Any time we did visit, the dogs at their facility are happy, well behaved, and engaged. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and consistently keep you informed! I am grateful to Andy and his team. The information the team provided and the experiences from both trainings was beyond anything I could have imagined! Now my Lab Finnly and I are in the best place!! Thank you!!!!
