Julie is an awesome person and great trainer for my sweet Teddy! I’ve done classes with her (Come when Called for recall) and had him do a board & train stay with her while I was away for a week. He’s also stayed with her multiple times for regular boarding and we also go to the Small Dog Social on Saturdays about once a month so he can be around more pups in a controlled environment. Teddy absolutely LOVES Julie and runs up to her with GLEE any time he sees her. To me that’s a sign of such a good bond between trainer/sitter and he’s become such a better dog in the last few months. I plan to do even more training to get him to behave in different areas next. I did try Petsmart training and did not get the quality experience I had at Julie’s location. I also really like the enclosed outdoor patio space where the pups can get some outdoor training as well. For the boarding, she uses the trackable dog collars so you have peace of mind in case one gets loose from her property. However, I don’t see that as a likely scenario bc her location is very secure and she is extremely attentive. I highly recommend Julie to anyone with a dog needing some behavioral training or boarding, or both!

Julie Sharp’s classes are amazing! She connected immediately with all of the dogs, and all of the owners. We were quite a diverse group (Chihuahua to Mastiff), but everyone was struggling with a reactive dog. There is no magic cure here, but Julie’s calm control and positive support week by week brought success to each. We are still a work in progress, but I think the real testament, is that we are continuing to work together, with Julie’s, and her great assistant Eleanor’s guidance.

Julie is a dog whisperer. We have 2 chihuahua mixes that we rescued years ago now and never trained. Well, we got away with it the first few years but as they got older, they became more and more anxious and aggressive towards guests in our home. Barking at everyone that stands up, sometimes even nipping. Julie gave us the tools to not only diffuse the situation, but improve their quality of life through positive reinforcement. Although we still have to actively be giving them treats and working with them in these situations (they don't stop barking on their own yet) I can definitely tell a difference in their behavior. At one point we were able to have 10 people over at once and Oskar was barely barking the whole night, which never happened before. This is so impressive considering we only did 5 sessions and my babies are 10 years old, making it more of a process to correct such engrained behaviors. Not only that, but Lucille and Oskar just LOVED coming to see Julie! You can truly tell this is her passion. Highly recommend!
