As a first time dog owner I knew I was going to need help training my pup Riddick. I had tried a group puppy class somewhere else, but it wasnt the right fit. It was obvious after my consultation with Felicia that she would take my goals for Riddick and our lifestyle into account while training. Riddick did a combo of day trains and board and train with Shades of Blu and I am thrilled with the outcome. Riddick is a breeze to walk and obeys very well. My name is Alison. This is Apollo. He is 9 month golden lab full of energy and loves everyone he see. With all that energy, walking him on leash was a chore by itself and jumping up on everything he saw. Also, he was a little escape artist. Any time we opened the door he would bolt right out and would be this game of catch. After doing some research, I came across Shades of Blu training and sending him there was the best decision ever. After the 5 weeks, my dog began a different dog. We can now walk him on or off leash with no pulling, take him out to places and not worry about biting or jumping on people. He is famous in the neighborhood of being so well behaved. I will definitely keep sending Apollo there, as well as any other dogs we might inquire. I highly suggest using shades of Blu, you will not be disappointed.

I have loved working with Felicia and her crew. She very clearly loves what she does and it shows. She knows dogs. She has been so great about educating me as well as Tuck. Training a dog is easy, training me has been a bit more of a challenge. As a "want to be dog person" she has been very patient in answering questions and encouraging me. I love that her training doesn't end when her dogs go home. She not only offers multiple transfer training sessions but does group classes to follow up. Our transition home has been great and I feel confident in maintaining all of the skills he has gained. I would absolutely recommend Shades of Blu.

Felicia and her team at Shades of Blu are phenomenal! From the very beginning, Felicia was prompt to answer all of my questions, she is very knowledgeable, informative and didn’t once make me feel like any question I asked was too crazy or silly. We chose the 5-week B&T for our Doodle and let me just say- WOW! What a difference it has made for our puppy and our family! My husband and I both work full time jobs with a young child and frankly we just did not have the time to start from scratch and do what was needed for a new puppy. The B&T has allowed our Doodle to get basic obedience skills and helped to build his confidence to learn even more. We were regularly updated with his progress during his stay and was also sent several photos and videos so we could still see him and put a smile on our faces :) We are thrilled and have already scheduled another 1-week session to continue his training while we are away on travel.
