Cant express enough as to how disappointed I was going here. A dog tied up in a dog run unsupervised (extremely dangerous), dogs left out in runs with minimal shade (a fraction of a corner). They didn't answer questions and instead answered with questions. His method is his "own" which generally isn't bad, but granted he couldn't explain it, got defensive, then just shut down after repeating the same thing and not answering Is not. There's a reasons many programs do positive or at least balance (where the dog gets rewarded with treat or it's drive) and that's due to the success rate bekng higher than otherwise. A dog that had gone through intermediate training, could preform and behave in high stress situation wasn't "pet quality" while a "service dog" he trained couldn't even listen to a basic command. Not to mention he had to hold a dog's mouth shut because it wouldn't be quiet. These dogs stay outside with no visible water and he supposedly let's them in his small RV at night. The grounds are over grown and not well kept, there's trash in the runs. It's one trainer trying to handle a bunch of dogs while not being educated. There's so many more programs and trainers in east Texas that I'd recommend, ranging from scouts legacy, to both PetSmart trainers at Tyler and Longview. That's not even mentioning the ridiculous fees they wanted for taking a dog that was already well trained then trying to charge a boarding fee on top of re-home fee when he initially only mentioned a re-home fee. This program is uneducated in handling, corrections, or rewards (which they don't use). I support our troops getting free service dogs, but look at k9 & Heros over this, the dogs aren't well taken care of at all. I'll leave at this but there's so much more to add that makes this program worthy of being shut down.
