Highly suggest working with Kevin at Serenity K-9 for your training needs. I have a 3 year old shepherd that needed some polishing and for me to re-establish who’s in charge. Kevin was great to work with, helping me get confident with correcting my dog and learning what he needs from me. Plus my pup got individual attention and training everyday with Kevin to lay all the ground work for me to continue at home. We will be in a much better spot to continue training. My pup has the manners and leadership from me now so we can do the things he loves like going on adventures again!

I have fostered and trained dogs (basic commands and manners) for over 20 years, working with breeds such as American Bulldogs, mastiffs, bullies, and retriever mixes while my kids were growing up. I never thought I would need help from a trainer for my own dogs. When I found Kevin, I was close to desperate and felt like God had sent him to us. I adopted a bully mix little girl and have had her since November, when she was just under 5 months old. I babied her so much because I saw so much fear in her. Just slightly raising my voice would make her hide under the table; she refused to leave the yard for a walk, would not allow a leash, and hated any car ride. The first time Kevin came to the house, he had her on a leash and moving out of our yard, just a few doors down—but still, it was a small success. He talked to me for about an hour and believed he could help. Giving her up for four weeks was pretty hard on me; I felt like she would feel abandoned. When she came home, she was no longer scared of anything. She didn’t sleep all the time; she was happy and vibrant, just the way all puppies should be! I decided to send my 3-year-old working dog to daily training, as he will soon be at our farm. He was always very whiny and needy, needing to be near me, but I figured it was just his breed. Kevin has worked him through it, and now, with a couple more months of our one-on-one training, I think he will be ready for the farm and all those new adventures that lie ahead of us!

Kevin was great with our dogs and us! We have a 7 year old golden retriever and unexpectedly found ourselves with a Belgian Malinois puppy. We didn’t know very much about the breed except for what Google said. Kevin took the time to explain how and why the training would be beneficial for our Malinois and our golden. He was right! Our home is more peaceful and both dogs are thriving! I would recommend Serenity K-9 to anyone who wants to better understand their dog and have a better life with them!
