I have a dog who is aggressive at the groomer. Can you help?
Absolutely! As a Certified Cooperative Care Trainer, helping dogs feel safe and cooperative during vet visits and grooming is one of my specialties. I can help you teach your dog to become a willing participant in their care—whether that means calmly getting nails trimmed, taking medications, being bathed, getting vaccinations, or even feeling comfortable wearing a muzzle or an Elizabethan collar. My goal is to replace fear and stress with trust and teamwork.

Do you do puppy training?
Yes! I have a private training program designed specifically for young puppies. As a Puppy Start Right Instructor, my program is tailored to meet the unique developmental needs of puppies under 18 weeks old, setting the stage for a confident, well-adjusted dog.

Can you really train a dog virtually? How does that work?
Yes, absolutely! Whether we work together in person or virtually on Zoom, I coach you the same way. My goal is to teach you the skills and understanding you need so that, ultimately, you won’t need me. I rarely take the leash myself — instead, I guide you step-by-step. Virtual sessions on Zoom offer many benefits: less stress for your dog (which makes learning easier), no weather worries, and they fit easily into busy schedules since there’s no travel involved. You can also access recorded sessions to review later, involve all family members no matter where they are, and get training support right in your dog’s everyday environment—where behavior change matters most.

What should I bring to my dog's first training session?
Once you sign up for a training program, you’ll receive a link to your orientation video. It covers everything you need to know before your first session, so you’ll be fully prepared to get started.

What are your qualifications and experience in dog training?
I’ve been training dogs for over 30 years and professionally for more than 5. My background combines hands-on experience with a deep commitment to continuing education. I’m a Certified Family Dog Mediator, Certified Cooperative Care Trainer, and Fear Free Certified Professional – Trainer. I’m also a proud member of the Pet Professional Guild and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. My approach follows the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior’s recommendation to use only reward-based, science-backed methods. I’m also a Level 1 TAGteacher, which helps me coach clients through clear, positive, step-by-step learning—for both people and their dogs.

Great dog trainer. She teaches the fundamental basic on commands like sit, laydown, etc. She took time to thoroughly explain commands to where my dog Belle understood them. Highly recommend!!!

Great dog training experience with Angela who helped us learn how to better manage developing behaviors with our rather stubborn Heller/mix puppy of 4-5 months. Her techniques of positive reinforcement are very effective, especially for a rescue puppy. Additionally, she is very supportive and active with the local animal sheltering community, donating her time and resources to these organizations. Highly recommend Angela for all your dog training needs!
Serenity is great! It's so nice to have her in my corner for troubleshooting dog behaviors!
