Semper Amici Canine Training

Just wrapped up 6 weeks of boarding training with my 4 year old covid rescue Apollo. Apollo was a poorly socialized dog that has had fear reactivity issues in the past including biting dogs and people. After many years of putting off training due to cost, a family emergency prompted me to need a sitter for at least 3 weeks to care for my less than friendly companion while I traveled out of state. Jose and his team we so accommodating to the situation graciously taking Apollo early. I dropped him off and headed straight to the airport. Upon return for our weekly private sessions Apollo's behavior was a night and day difference. It was like meeting a totally different dog. I received progress checks via video and text message to see him while I wasn't there. During our private sessions with Paul all of my questions were answered thoroughly. I appreciated the honest feedback and corrections allowing me to reflect on how my handling affects his behavior. We went to the park and home depot to practice some distractions with Apollo. He did amazing. It was hard to believe. I would have never taken him to public places like this in the past. I knew Apollo was in great hands after meeting Paul and watching how he handled my boy with so much care. The entire team was committed to his growth. I cannot say enough good things about the team. I now know that I have someone trusted to care for my boy when I have to leave town. I look forward to reinforcing the skills learned during training and applying them to my daily routine. Although pricey it is worth every penny to learn how to properly handle your dogs in a manner that registers to their dog brain. They are a well equipped team and a great resource for folks with misbehaved furry friends like mine.

My girlfriend and I are expecting our first child soon, and we really wanted to get our dogs ready for that experience. Jose showed us the hybrid academy which was great, because we could work with our dogs at home with videos Jose provided, and also be able to meet with him on weekends as well. In no time our dogs took well to the training, Jose made it super easy to follow along and communicated how to best understand your dogs. We will definitely be continuing to use Semper Amici for all of our dog training needs.
