Seattle Board and Train

Seattle board and train is a rare gem in the city. The dogs have and acre of space outside, limited number of dogs per day, and amazing attention from Christine. Christine not only knows everything about behavioral training, but also has a ton of trick training knowledge! And she is so willing to explain it all to you! We boarded (and trained) our puppy with Christine for 17 days. She is absolutely wonderful with the dogs! Every dog I've seen there has loved her and the space. Our puppy was having trouble staying calm inside during the day before his stay, and has been much calmer since. Christine is an amazing trainer, she only uses positive reinforcement methods. She has an extensive and impressive history training dogs, so she's seen it all. She works with the dogs to figure out what motivates them best - treats, toys, or something else. We also do a lot of training with our dog at home, and it's incredibly comforting to know he will only get better from staying with Christine and not regress on any training we've done. We spent a ton of time and stress trying to find a trainer that treats the dogs just how we do, and are so relieved to have finally found Christine. We can't wait to have our puppy stay with her again! Update: we've continued to come back for more than a year now - she's still just as wonderful as our first time! 100% our go to board and train whenever we need someone to take care of our pup.

We loved working with Christine! We have a large (85 lb) golden doodle who is an enthusiastic greeter (aka jumps on everyone). We’d gotten to a point of seldom leaving the house with her and not having people over to our home. Christine immediately made us feel at ease and confident we’d be able to change our dog’s behavior. Her method of video modeling was really useful. It set me up for success when I tried training our dog at home. We’ve been blown away by the results we’ve seen so far! Christine is generous with her time and always available for a quick question or a scheduled training session.

I am not one to usually post but I need to tell you, this place is fantastic! Our puppy had the time of his life and came back full of knowledge. Seattle board and train teaches with positive reinforcement, sends you training videos of what they went over with your pup, and loads of feedback afterwards from Christine (owner). Christine is super collaborative and really easy to talk to. She is now going to be a go to when I need to head out of town and can’t take my pooch. 100% recommend.

Our golden retriever was terrible about pulling on the leash, and not very good at playing with other dogs. Christine made our big anxious boy feel very comfortable & figured out how to really help him learn. We are very pleased with the progress she made during two weeks of half day training sessions. She takes video of all of her strategies, and her analytical write ups help us feel like we can continue her good work on our own at home. We highly recommend Seattle Board and Train!

Met for consultation for path forwards with a reactive teenage dog which seemed to go well. Discussed verbal plan to schedule for December back in October and haven't heard back from follow up attempts for further scheduling via phone or email since. As a recent transplant and having completed prior "reactive" dog classes before, I was looking for focused help with training but have since had to fall back on repeating group reactive dog classes at other local training centers.
