So I met this lady in Walmart a couple months back, while I was buying puppy food. She started talking about the SDOC and how they have been in business for over 50 years . I told her I had four month old Belgian malinois and I had never worked with one before. I told her that I was also interested in getting certified to be a trainer. She told me to give them a call. I called them when I got home. The lady I talked to wasn’t professional or polite. I asked her about classes. She stated that a woman which I forgot her name was a volunteer with them and she was starting her own business, that I should give her a call first and if it didn’t work out to call back and schedule classes. Strike one, your unprofessional. Strike two, you didn’t tell me anything about your business. Strike three, you been in business for over 50 years and your sending me to someone else just starting her business. If wanted someone like that I would of went on Craigslist. So I at that point I was done with the SDOC. So I decided to give the this lady starting up her business a call. Once again unprofessional. I asked about her business and the classes. She replied, and I quote. “ classes start on the 22nd of this month, make sure your dog has it’s first two shots, and send a check for a $100 and something bucks to this address no later than a week before.” I’m like is that it. She replied yes. So your just starting your dog training business, your not going to tell me anything about yourself. Like how many years you’ve been training . Or that your even certified. So you just want me to send a check to someone I know nothing about. Yeah no. Good luck with that.
