FirstBarkWe were very pleased with the outcome of our dog's training at Sadie's. She spent 6 weeks there and came home like a brand new dog. One of the best parts about Sadie's is the training and instruction that the owners receive through lessons and watching videos online. I would highly recommend Sadie's for anyone looking to have a polite, well-behaved dog!

About Sadie's Rules K9 Training
We train family dogs to become their best selves and integrate smoothly into family life. We work with all breeds, all ages and all issues, including on and off leash obedience and behavior modification. All trainees live and train here in our home alongside our family, not in a separate facility. While the dogs are here with us, they also enjoy hiking on our property, walking in our neighborhood, playing in our large fenced-in yard, and taking field trips into Charlottesville and Crozet. We teach family dogs how to be mannerly and well adjusted in any environment, then when they're ready to return home, we teach their family how to maintain their training over the long haul. We also provide long term support and boarding for our alumni.

I am just wondering, do you use choke collars in your training?
Hi Susan, Thanks for that question. Choke collars are not a tool that we use unless we have a dangerous dog and we need to do so for safety purposes.

We sent our sweet, and overactive/reactive 7 month old golden retriever Charlee to Sadie’s Rules for a little over a month. She is so much fun to be with now. The leash pulling has been eliminated and she is so much fun to walk off leash now. She can safely have a great time in the backyard. The reactivity is much improved. And it’s just been a joy to have her back home.

If you're on the fence about Sadie's Rules K9 Training, stop hesitating and just do it. It has been almost exactly one year since our cockapoo, Nugget, went through Jess and her team's 8-week program, and I genuinely cannot put into words how much our lives have changed for the better. Nugget came to Jess with some serious challenges, separation anxiety being the biggest hurdle, and honestly, we weren't sure how much progress was even possible. Jess not only addressed every single problem behavior, she transformed him into a well-mannered dog with off-leash training included. From a dog who couldn't be left alone to one we trust, the difference is night and day. What really blew us away was Jess's commitment to going above and beyond. She is based in Virginia and we are all the way out in Jersey City, NJ, and she still made the trip out to us for the at-home visit without hesitation. That level of dedication says everything about how much she genuinely cares about her clients and their dogs. A year later, Nugget is still thriving. Our household is calmer, happier, and more connected because of her and her team's work. We are so incredibly grateful. Sadie's Rules K9 Training is the real deal, don't think twice!

Jess and her team not only board and train your dog, they also foster and train a handful of rescue dogs, helping them find their forever family. We adopted Odie after he’d spent a few months at Sadie’s and we couldn’t be happier.
