If you’re looking to get your dog trained, Chase is your guy! My Border Collie did a one-week board and train with him, and the difference was truly night and day. Before training, my dog was very anxious and reactive to pretty much everything and everyone, which was really difficult for us as owners. After just one week, he learned so much and has improved tremendously.
I was honestly hesitant at first because you always hear scary stories about dog training experiences, but Chase completely changed my perspective. He genuinely cares, takes the time to understand your dog, and delivers amazing results at a great price. On top of that, my dog absolutely loves him, which says a lot.
I highly recommend Chase if you are looking for someone to train your dog.

Our puppy, Laniey, is an extremely affectionate dog, who absolutely loves people, especially Family and friends. Her biggest challenge was jumping up on people, looking for attention, belly, rubs, and affection. While her intentions were loving, it became important for us to address because we were often around my 87-year-old mother and five-year-old granddaughter.
Chase offered several training options, including board and training programs and weekly private sessions. We chose the four weekly sessions, meeting early mornings at a busy residential park with plenty of distractions. As new dog owners we appreciate Chase’s patience, calm demeanor, and realistic approach to training both us and Lainey.
From the first session, Chase focused On foundational commands, like heal, sit, and later recall, proper walking behavior was also included. He taught us that consistency at home matters just as much as the training sessions themselves. One thing that stood out was how much emphasis he placed on verbal praise, and building communication with our dog rather than relying heavily on treats.
Chase Introduced us to a training collar and remote system that was included in the cost of training and explained how and when to use it properly, he also encouraged us to practice daily for no less than 40 minutes and even suggested taking Lainey to dog, friendly stores like Home Depot to work through distractions in real world situations! He also shared with us that as a gentle reminder to strangers that wanted to maybe pet Lainey, to just kindly let them know that she was in training.
Chase’s honesty was refreshing. He reminded us that we would get out of training what we put into it and he was absolutely right! Each week reinforce the previous lessons and help build both our confidence and Laney‘s responsiveness.
We have seen real improvement in Laniey‘s listing skills, walking behavior and overall focus. Most importantly, we feel more confident handling situations that once felt stressful.
We would absolutely recommend Chase and Ruff Rider Dog training LLC to anyone looking for patient, practical, hands-on dog training! He also has a life time guarantee in case us humans need a refresher! :)
