Ruff House Dog Training

I have been in some difficult spots with my dog Bruiser. I love him so much, but some of his behaviors were really hard. I was considering medication when my vet recommended Crystal. The work we did together is nothing you find on the internet and most importantly she listens to what your dog's particular issues are. We practiced walking and got his leash aggressiveness down to a minimum. I'm a super proud mom when other dogs are walking by going wild and he's able to walk by them without going wild as well. He's a happier dog. Out last two sessions were months if not a year apart and for a totally different issue we pinpointed possible sources of anxiety and multiple options for managing the behavior. WE LOVE HER!

There are no words to describe the thanks and gratitide we feel toward Crystal and the training she gave Niko. Niko is our 3rd dog, an 8 month old GSD and he joined us 6 months ago. We also have an 8 year old Border Collie rescue that we have had for 6 years and a 4 yr old GSD Both shepherds are from the same breeder. Niko was unlike any other. A wonderful dog, but with massive drive and full of energy. Even though we exercised him daily, we still had difficulty with training and settling him down. He was head strong and keeping his attention, especially on leash walking was very difficult. Niko was with Crystal for two weeks and the change in him is remarkable. He has learned loose leash walking, although still progressing. He can settle on his own and waits patiently, but still excitedly to go in and out. He has become so enjoyable and we will continue to work with him daily and follow Crystals notes. Her pateince and attitude towards dogs is remarkable. She constantly gives positive reinforcement and you can tell without a shadow of a doubt the dogs love her. I can't believe we were fortunate enough to find this gem. We are so so grateful and we can't wait to come back for more obedience classes. We so highly recommend Crystal, she is bar non amazing.

Training a medical alert dog takes a lot of work, dedication, patience & sometimes sweat & tears. It is important to me that my dog Fumo is trained to the highest of standards to ensure that he is better prepared to perform his tasks in public settings. The AKC Canine Good Citizen & Advanced CGC tests are a great place to start so we decided to give Ruff House a try. Crystal exceeded my expectations with this CGC group class. The class was small enough to ensure that each person & their dog got enough practice on the test items with multiple "strangers", objects & dogs. We were all very different people with very different dogs & yet she was able to communicate with all of us effectively. She was honest about the areas where we needed improvement & gave us great tips to help us clean it all up. It was easy to tell that her goal was OUR success. It doesn't get better than that in terms of support!! We also received weekly emails outlining the items covered in class so it was easy to keep an organized file of everything we were working on. I was very nervous on test day but her calm & friendly demeanor reminded me to breathe. Despite my nerves, we were able to pass both tests & proceed to celebrate with cheesecake. :) We liked her style so much that we are dropping into a group class she teaches in unpredictable local park settings in order to further our education.
