Rude Dog K9 Training

I purchased a Boston Terrier puppy about 1 year ago and it didn’t take long for me to realize that I had a breed very different from what I had had in the past. Lots of energy; sometimes shy/scared; listened sometimes, sometimes not; flunked loose leash walking in puppy classes; very food oriented; and smarter than me…much smarter! I reached out to Brett and enrolled Tobi in the 3 day training course. Wow! The difference this made is nothing short of miraculous. I admit I was a bit concerned about leaving Tobi overnight as he had never been left alone, but an early morning text after his first night from Brett reassured me that he had done well overnight, was eating, and had done well in the kennel let me reassured and was greatly appreciated. I received multiple video clips of his training showing his progress and these have been great resources to go back and review. On the last day my son (who watches him on occasion) and I had a lengthy session on how to handle Tobi, help him with his insecurities, and steps to take to continue his progress. I now have a puppy who is fun to walk and who is progressing every day. I also had to have an open mind on the use of a pinch collar which I have now found to be gentler and more effective than the training/choke collar I had been advised to use. (And it doesn’t hurt. I know, I tried it). Brett has also been readily available to answer questions (and I have had a few) which is really appreciated. I still have 2 follow up sessions with Brett and look forward to them. I can’t recommend Rude Dog K9 enough. A great foundation was laid and I was given the tools and resources to build on. Brett is patient, kind, understanding, and encouraging, not only with the dogs but also with the owner. I can’t thank him enough for all of the help that he has provided and continues to provide. He is one of a kind. Oh, and his dog food is awesome! My picky eater chows down every meal and it even looks good enough for me to eat. Thank you, Brett.

Harper has been to Brett a few times for training starting when she was just 10 weeks old. She is now 2 1/2 years old and recently spent three days with Brett as a refresher. She thoroughly enjoys going to see Brett and we are always very grateful. Harper has always been a rather nervous pup, but with Brett’s help she has gained confidence and calmness. We look forward to working with Brett again as she always learns something new — and so do we! Brett not only does a great job with Harper, but he takes the time to educate us, and answer our many questions too! Bret is patient, calm, confident, competent, and I would trust him with our girl always. Thank you Brett!

I have a 5 year old male mountain cur mix who I thought would be impossible to train. We have tried so many things to train him but have had the most success with Brett! Scotty (mountain cur) gets very distracted and does not have the confidence to go through a walk without misbehaving. After a week with Brett, Scotty is much better at listening and completing commands. Today we took him out to a public park and he did not misbehave once. Thank you so much to Brett and his Rude Dog crew for helping train and take care of Scotty for the week!
