I would highly recommend training with Rowdy Runs. From the first consultation it was clear that John deeply understands dogs and the language they speak. We received actionable tools that first day and kept building on them each week. I now feel so much more equipped to communicate what I’m asking from my dog Ozzy as well as the other two pups at home. Ozzy is a young Pomeranian and was having issues with excessive barking and nervousness of all new people, animals, and situations. He also needed to learn some basic obedience. The positive transformation I saw in him over the 8 week puppy class was amazing. He can now obediently listen to what I ask him to do, his confidence is better, he seems so much happier and at peace in the world, not so scared of everything, and my nerves are much less fried from all the barking and trying to correct with no results. He’s now more curious about the world around him instead of afraid of every little thing. I’ve worked with a few trainers for other dogs, but John’s knowledge and expertise was the best I’ve found. John and his wife Sherri are great people- kind, generous and dependable. We’re so grateful for the skills we walked away with!!

John did a great job training us and our dog Woody, a high-strung two year old lab. We'd spent a ton of money on remote trainers in classroom like settings. Woody still had no recall, none. In fact he would just walk away when we called him. John came to our home and worked with us and our dog, teaching us a bag full of tricks to get Woody to respect and obey. Woody now comes when he's called on our property. Woody's behavior is remarkabley better now and we're all less anxious. Thanks, John.

HANDS DOWN WORTH EVERY PENNY Bringing my one year old Blue heeler/border collie pup, Daisy, to John for training was the best decision I have made in raising her. From breaking her of jumping on people to getting her to instantly respond to commands, Daisy has transformed from a fuzzy puppy who didn’t listen very well- into a loyal and loving best friend that I can trust and never have to worry about. John listens to questions, thoughts, and concerns, and was always easy to contact. This guy knows his stuff! I still have work to do to make sure Daisy doesn’t try her luck, but learning the techniques and the importance of consistency and correction when needed has been totally worth it. I inherited a dog who had reactivity issues and was not ok being left alone. Looked for a local trainer and came upon John’s website. I was hoping to obtain more information on John’s background as a trainer and how their training programs worked, so I reached out via email. His wife, Sherri, arranged for a consult. In the consult session, our dog and our handling of the dog were evaluated. John gave us feedback, explained what the dog was thinking ,offered thoughts on what we could improve on and how he could possibly help. His techniques and tools are simple, straightforward and hands on. He also allows for some flexibility within set parameters. We had two sessions after the consult to work on specific issues. After each session we saw immediate results. John provided a great foundation of knowledge. What I also appreciated about John and Sherri is that they were responsive and respectful of my time.
