Ronin K9 Training

I truly can’t say enough good things about Morgan and Canaan Ronin at Ronin K9 Training. They’ve been incredibly supportive and amazing at what they do. One thing I didn’t fully expect going through training with our dog Frankie was realizing the dog isn’t really the hard part… the human is. 😂 The trainers teach the commands, structure, and discipline. Frankie KNOWS what to do. The bigger challenge has been us learning how to lead him well at home. What I naturally want to do is just constantly love on him and hope for a good dog, but I’ve realized dogs truly thrive with boundaries, consistency, and leadership. Fortunately, I have my husband in my life that’s better at this than me! One of the biggest eye-opening moments for me was showing up to training and realizing Frankie was more focused on his trainer than me. Tail wagging, excited, waiting on the next command because he trusted the leader of the pack. This has been about retraining OUR minds and routines. This isn’t a “send your dog off and everything magically changes forever” process. It takes ongoing participation if you want lasting results. While there’s definitely work involved, there’s also been a lot of fun along the way!

When looking for a trainer for our Ray, my husband and I both were lead to Ronin K9. Our Ray is a super sweet and intelligent Goldendoodle, but was quite reactive, had no respect for boundaries, had anxiety, and lacked confidence. Canaan and Morgan quickly established a line of communication with Ray and spent time teaching us how to communicate with him. This now allows us to remind Ray of his boundaries. The Ronins taught us how to effectively reinforce and correct using the appropriate tools for Ray, so his demeanor is far more neutral and far less reactive. His confidence has increased so much and he is the happiest pup. We wanted Ray to enjoy life and we wanted to be able to do life with him. Ronin K9 was instrumental at helping us to accomplish both of these goals. Life with Ray is infinitely better, and Canaan and Morgan are such a blessing to our family.

Wow! My 5 1/2 yr old dog was a 2 year old having tantrums ALL OVER the place!! She made things difficult! After training with Ronin K9 she is a brand new dog!! So eager to please and actually has self confidence now.. (I never realized that was a thing for a dog)! But it is. I learned SO MUCH from these amazing trainers & they gave me the tools to communicate properly with my Honey! I even vacuumed today w/o her chasing the vacuum! I highly recommend these trainers. They KNOW what they're doing!!
