Unfortunately our golden came back with pneumonia and having lost 9 pounds. Several times we tried to connect with the trainer for updates and essentially wellness checks with very little feedback or updates. Hard to understand how a pup loses 9 lbs and needs and urgent vet appointment with several rounds of Antibiotics and no update or notification that something may be wrong. Very disappointed and concerned had we not gotten our golden sooner it would have been much worse.

We entrusted Rockin Robin Kennels with our Springer Spaniel, Winston, for bird dog training. Our expectations were high, given the promising reviews and professional assurances. However, our experience has been nothing short of distressing. Despite a significant financial investment and a three-month training period, Winston returned home exhibiting extreme fear and anxiety, which was completely out of character. This change was particularly concerning considering his young age; he was just a puppy when sent for training. Two years later, Winston still shows signs of the trauma he experienced. It’s baffling and frustrating to reconcile our experience with the many five-star reviews the kennel receives. My initial review detailing our ordeal was removed for reasons unknown, and discussions with other clients have revealed we are not alone in our dissatisfaction. In light of our experience and the accounts of others, I feel compelled to warn potential customers. Careful consideration and thorough research are crucial before entrusting your beloved pet to a training facility, especially for specialized training like bird dog training.

Scott exceeded our expectations while training our Boykin Spaniel puppy, Whit. We were hesitant to start training at such a young age (3 months) but Scott assured us that he would be able to make progress with regards to basic obedience and then assess when the full gundog program would be appropriate. When we picked up Whit, he could perform all basic commands Sit, Heel, Place, and was retrieving bumpers easily. Whit was socialized and still had his excited/energetic spirit that we enjoy. The basic obedience training is a great foundation for Whit and I'm excited to see the further progress when he returns.
