One year ago November 2024 I rescued a young female German Shepherd Dog off the streets in our town. There was a connection immediately and I knew she had to stay with us. Problem was, our other two female GSD didn’t feel the same way. I was consumed by extreme worry and emotion. My veterinarian office recommended Lance and I immediately called. Lance got us (myself and the trio) in for an evaluation. The most disobedient canine was recognized and the most extreme unconfident owner was recognized as well, that being me. I was shown and given life changing tools, practices, and the best advice to make or break the four of us. Forward one year and 3 months later, I’m standing in the backyard this morning playing ball with the three of them. They all live an enjoyable and active life, and sleep in their designated areas. It’s work every day to keep busy minds …. busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Without Rockcastle Canine Training and Lance, this would not have been possible. Thanks always!! We HIGHLY recommend Lance and Rockcastle Canine! We heard about him from another customer of his who’s dogs behavior impressed us so much. He definitely knows the mind of a dog! Our now 11 week old puppy (we have only had him 3 weeks) is completely house trained, doesn’t chew on things we don’t want him to, and is great with people and in public, even off leash. Even if you think you might know how to raise a puppy or train a dog enough to get by, working with Rockcastle Canine is well worth it. Our puppy has absolutely enjoyed the work with Lance and in turn enjoyed working with us. It’s obvious that the work we have done with Lance will continue paying off for our dog’s entire life. Lance makes learning how to train your dog and work through commands clear and simple, so you feel confident in working with your dog. We couldn’t be more grateful!

Lance did a great job with my Giant Schnauzer Hank JR . I have seen considerable improvement over the 6 week obedience course . Lance showed much patience with Hank Jr and myself . Probably more with me than with my pup . I am looking forward to continuing our training with Lance and his team . I highly recommend Him as a trainer and a good man . I think he is especially effective with strong willed working breeds . Thank you Lance !!
