Riverbend Canine Training

Matt A.K.A “Chewy” was our dog’s, Luna, trainer. She is a GSD with high anxiety going out in public, being around other people/dogs, and excessive growling and barking with that. When we first brought her in, chewy waited until Luna was comfortable enough for him to take her, never pushing her too far out of her comfort zone. Chewy did such a great job with her. He won her trust in a short amount of time, was able to get her to know reinforce basic commands. But most importantly, taught her that not everyone is out to get her when she’s in public. Chewy was able to take her out to different public places and her not barking/growling at everyone and everything. She knew how to walk closely, not tug on the leash and respond positively to corrections. During the whole process Chewy kept us updated on everything, good or bad. He sent us photos, videos, and almost daily updates on Luna’s training. During hand over, chewie was very thorough on what he worked on with her and how we can best train Luna that fits her personality instead of trying to change it, Chewy advised to mold training around it, embracing it. The next day we were able to take Luna out to a store and the leaps and bounds with the few short weeks with Chewy was very apparent. For further training in the future, definitely going back to Matt “Chewy” Hiser.

I spent many days researching places to send our puppy for training before settling on this place and I couldn’t possibly be happier. Brandon is the most amazing trainer out there, he is dedicated, down to earth and HILARIOUS. Our dog is so well behaved now, she’s a fabulous listener and hasn’t stolen a single sock since we brought her home. I can promise you that you won’t find a better option for your fur baby. This place has the right idea when it comes to taking care of the dog and just as much the owner. Thank you so much to Riverbend Canine for an amazing experience. I will be sending every dog from now on here!!!
