I cannot express enough how much my Diabetic Alert Dog, trained by River's Edge Dog Academy, has improved my life. I had a dog trained by a different company that did not work out and the difference is staggering. Terry is incredible. Rightfully proud of his work, he'll talk your ear off but it's all worth hearing. Having the opportunity to visit, watch, and meet the potential dogs was wonderful. Understanding the methods and philosophy behind the training has helped me maintain the high level obedience he instilled. When we were having a behavior issue (my fault), Terry responded with a personalized video to help us get back on track. I don't have a yard but do have nearby open spaces to play and, currently, it's cold and icy so it's fantastic to have the confidence to go off lead. We get compliments all the time as we navigate my office job, shopping, and other spaces where dogs are not usually allowed. My salon loves her and she sticks with me through multiple location changes without a leash, reducing the risk of tangling or tripping. And, of course, she does her job well! She alerts me to drops before they become critical, allowing me the time to eat good food rather than something that will cause a spike and another crash. I no longer 'ride high' out of paranoia toward a possible crash, either. Between that and the increased exercise, my health (and mental health!) has greatly improved in the 8 months since getting my dog. Absolutely the best investment I've made for my current and future wellbeing.

River’s Edge did an amazing job with our two goldendoodle babies Betty and Blue. I was nervous about sending them for such a long time But it was worth every penny. They are truly the best behaved dogs. We can have company and not worry about the dogs jumping on our guests or barking inappropriately. They sat outside with us on Halloween and helped pass out candy to the kids. They never barked or tried to leave their ‘place’. I recently took Blue to a veterinary appointment at A&M and received so many compliments on her behavior and temperament. They said she was the absolute best doodle they’ve ever seen. I can not recommend River’s Edge Dog Academy enough. You won’t be sorry!

Life changing! Duke alerted to our daughter’s low blood sugar within 24 hours of him being home with us. He also woke her up at night, from a distance away in a store, and detects low glucose even before I as a mom can realize she is low! The training Duke received before coming home to us, as well as the training we all received together has been better than I could have ever expected. They truly care about our family and are committed to making sure Duke had the ability to change our daughter’s quality of life. He almost instantly bonded with our daughter, and has done great in any atmosphere we have brought him into. Terry and Nancy are wonderful to work with and are so great at explaining and teaching not only us, but our young daughter as well. Incredibly thankful for them!

River’s Edge Dog Academy is super professional and absolutely the best if you need a service dog for yourself or your child. We purchased our service dog for our son at Rivers Edge Dog Academy, and he has been worth every penny. It was one of the best things we ever did. Nancy and Terry Cadle truly know how dogs think and their animals are true business professionals. Everywhere we go, my son’s dog gets compliments about how amazing he is. I could not imagine life without our service animal. My son and his dog are inseparable. The bond they have is truly remarkable.
