Riley Kennel & Farm

My husband and I brought two of our dogs to Riley Kennel & Farm. We both grew up with dogs and have had dogs together for nearly 20 years. We were having problems dealing with our overly jolly Pitt bull mix and an overly grumpy Terrier mix we just rescued. It has overwhelmed us and we were nearly at our wits end. We looked at a lot of training programs in the area, and not only is Riley Kennel’s training very reasonably priced, Cliff and Lindsey are terrific, relatable and patient people who are great at what they do. We all completed our first lesson just yesterday, and we already feel like we might be able to get our lives back to normal by the time we are done. I will continue to post through the sessions, but so far we are thrilled with what they taught all of us. Looking forward to practicing the knowledge we’ve gained and learning more next week. We both HIGHLY RECOMMEND their private training services! *****Update*****Just finished week 3 of training, and we couldn’t be happier with how things are going. Cliff and Lindsey are really good teachers. Each week we all go home and practice what we learned during our lessons. Cliff’s instructions are detailed and easy to understand and recreate at home. After week 2, we were able to let the two dogs spend supervised time together. Both dogs responded to us more quickly and were less aggressively reactive to stimuli that would have created chaos before training. We will continue to work with the dogs, and by the time we have our last lesson, we are confident that we will all be a much happier and peaceful household. Still HIGHLY RECOMMEND their private training. Affordable, but more importantly, effective. Plus, Cliff and Lindsey are just fantastic people. Absolutely, 100% worth the hour + drive every week in rush hour traffic. I can’t say enough good things about our experience and how great Cliff and Lindsey are.

Cliff helped my dog tremendously. When we started, she was very scared. He made her feel safe and comfortable. He taught us things to work on with her at home. She had a history of nipping at people when they’d try to leave. This has stopped. All in 4 weeks of training. This place is amazing and I highly recommend to anyone whose dogs have issues with listening, anxiety, or aggression. Ten stars, honestly. Thank you all for helping our family.

We are very pleased with level of training that we received. Our pointer is a high energy hard headed English pointer. After four session she transformed into a dog that is responsive start pointing her birds and recall back to the handler in the field. Not only does Cliff train the dog but he work’s individually with the owner to understand the how and why of the training methods being employed. I would highly recommend them to anyone that wants to establish a solid foundation between the owner and the animal.
