Right Way K9 Training

Right Way K9 Training worked wonders for our dog, and Matt's techniques worked where other training programs have failed in the past. We have a much better relationship with our dog now, and we're able to take her just about everywhere now without any behavioral issues. It's a methodical, disciplined, and structured program and that seems to be exactly what our dog needed. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to improve their quality of life with their furry friends!

I'm based in the hustle and bustle of New York City, where things can get pretty hectic. To be honest, I wasn't sure about trying out dog training over Zoom. But right from the start, when I met Matt and we had our first trial session on Zoom, I felt at ease. He's been great at teaching me how to expand Sadie's vocabulary. Sadie is my 5-pound Chihuahua, and she's got quite the personality – stubborn and used to getting her way. Thanks to Matt's guidance, she's actually starting to go potty outside and paying more attention during our walks. During our next session, Matt showed me how to use the "call command," and I've been practicing it for the past couple of weeks. It's like magic – Sadie's really tuning in and seems genuinely excited. I've worked with a few trainers before, but I can say without a doubt that Matt is the best. He's patient, kind, and really knows his stuff. Honestly, I never thought I'd make progress with dog training over Zoom, but it's been working like a charm. Thanks a bunch, Matt!

I very highly recommend Matt as a dog trainer. My dog’s main issue is extreme reactivity (on and off leash) which has at times included redirected aggression. It is challenging to keep my dog below his threshold of reactivity, but Matt has been wonderful with my dog and me every step of the way. He always explains the how and why behind what we are doing and develops his approach based on canine behavior research. I have worked with multiple other trainers and what really sets Matt apart is that he truly spends the time and effort developing a training plan that makes the most sense for both the owner and the dog based on their unique situation. In addition to working through our main issues, Matt has provided helpful advice on everything from car rides, approaches to meal times, and structured fetch sessions to increase engagement, just to name a few! He is very responsive to questions outside of training sessions and truly cares about my dog’s well-being. We are lucky to have found him and appreciate everything he has done to give my dog the life he deserves!
