Right Way K9 Training

It’s always a great experience working with Matt. He creates a tailored approach based on each dog’s unique personality and breed. His balanced approach was just what I was looking for when I received my puppy, a very athletic breed. Matt is very attentive, a great teacher, and has continued to be a great resource. His sessions are not only for the benefit of the dog but the owner as well, helping create a great training foundation and communication skills with my dog that have lasted well after our sessions ended!!

Matt is the best! My dogs owe their lives to him!!! After working with Matt for 12 sessions, our golden retriever walks off leash and we added a puppy to our family and enrolled him in Matt’s Perfect Puppy Course. While on a walk one day, we were crossing the street and a driver seemingly did not notice us and came close enough for me to reach my hand out and hit the car. Sandy stayed in her “heel” command and Ripple remained perfectly by my side on leash. All three of us made it safely across the street because of Matt’s training. He makes it easy. If you’re willing to do the work, he will give you the tools for a wonderful, balanced dog. He is a true dog lover and understands how dogs learn. His program is systematic and after just one session, our older dog was so much more settled, confident and responsive. After working with Matt for a few months, Sandy is now a certified therapy dog who assists me when tutoring children. Working with him and our new puppy, Ripple has been amazing. Ripple has been the easiest puppy to train because of the tools Matt has given our family. He never pulls on the leash, is a respectful puppy and when house training, he had less than five accidents in the house total. Ripple is now 8 months old and behaves as well as (if not better) than Sandy, our three year old Golden. Do yourself a favor and hire Matt, do the work and enjoy being a dog owner.

Matt has taught us more than we could imagine about behavior management with dogs. Our dog Benny would constantly pull on the leash, run after squirrels, and ignored us when we called him. I also just had a baby and wanted to make sure Benny was well behaved around her. With matt’s help all of these issues are completely resolved, and it is amazing to see how disciplined and happy of a dog Benny now is. I highly recommend this company!

My dog, Rosie, was fired by her dog walker for being too excitable and rambunctious. If you're willing to do the work between sessions, the ten session option I chose is worth every penny. My Rosie walks calmly beside me and walking her is relaxing instead of annoying. She can pass other dogs, deer, and other critters and not go crazy. She notices but she does not react. When tradesmen come to do work at the house, Rosie stays on her bed and doesn't bark. She does not bark or snarl and bare her teeth at the mailman anymore. She also comes when called. An unexpected benefit is the bond between Rosie and me. She is noticably happier and content. Matt is very good at what he does. He understands dog behavior.
