I cannot say enough good things about Charlie’s trainer, Shannon! ❤️🐾 Charlie already had a solid foundation, but I had reached a point where I didn’t know how to take her any further.
I enrolled her in Ridgeside’s three-week day training program and was hesitant because of the cost. I also worried that structured training might dull Charlie’s sparkle or change the goofy, curious, adventurous personality that makes her HER. By the end of week three, I still wasn’t seeing a dramatic change, but I trusted Shannon and the process.
Then came turnover day, and I was blown away. Once Shannon showed ME how to communicate with Charlie and reinforce what she had learned, everything clicked. That same day, we went for a walk off leash and her recall was 100%—even with distractions! Having that kind of reliability, especially when it comes to her safety, gives me peace of mind that is priceless.
And one of my biggest concerns going into training—would she still be Charlie? The answer is absolutely yes. She’s the same sweet, silly, adventurous girl we all know and love… She just listens the first time now! 😂❤️
Shannon gave both of us the tools we needed, and the results have been incredible. Worth every penny. Ridgeside K9 is lucky to have her on their team. I truly cannot recommend her enough.

Our puppy has been home for a few days and we have seen calmer behavior, especially in crate (which is our greatest pain point). We appreciate that whenever we use the e collar, she isn’t confused on what she needs to do. The training that we also had (us humans), was incredibly helpful as well. Being trained on how to use the e collar properly and understanding the purpose of it is really helpful in making us succeed at establishing boundaries. The price is worth it!
My husband and I are really thankful for this facility. We have a 5 month old basset hound who loves biting and chewing. Our journey started off with us having to delay training twice, but they were flexible with us! Then when it was time, we were able to sit down with Shannon and explain all our areas of concern. It was great to feel heard and understood. We don’t have Facebook where you can see daily updates of your fur baby, but Shannon went above & beyond and texted us photos - we deeply appreciated this! We were able to see the what she worked on each day. We are really excited to bring our pup back for adult training. Thank you!

Sylvie came home still very much herself—happy, affectionate, playful, and full of personality—but with noticeably more confidence, focus, and self-control. The training has given her a wonderful foundation that will allow us to include her in so much more of our everyday life.
From the beginning, we felt that her care, safety, and individual needs mattered. The communication, professionalism, and thoughtful approach to training gave us tremendous confidence while she was away.
We are so grateful to Kendall and the Ridgeside K9 team for the time, care, patience, and expertise they invested in Sylvie. It is clear they weren’t simply teaching commands—they were helping us build the foundation for the kind of life we have always wanted to share with her.

The 3 week training program with Sydney was an amazing experience. Loved seeing the daily progress and how relaxed and responsive Max was. It really did help Max with the issues in which brought us there. He is now a better behaving puppy and will continue to use Ridgeside for any future needs for Max. Thanks again!
