I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Before training, Haze really struggled around other animals. Our walks were a nightmare at times. I’d come home crying, feeling embarrassed and overwhelmed. He’s the sweetest boy, but the second he saw another dog, it was like all bets were off. I did everything I could to keep my distance, but living in an apartment made that nearly impossible. It even made traveling difficult because I always had to work around his needs, and most pet sitters have animals of their own. I honestly wasn’t sure if he’d ever be able to play or socialize with other dogs. It broke my heart because I knew he was missing out on so much - not just playing, but getting to go places with us and experience life. I’m so grateful I found K9 Ridgeside, and especially Kendall for all the time and work she put into helping Haze. The difference has truly been life-changing. Haze can now be around other animals, play appropriately, and honestly, when I took him to play, he was one of the best-behaved dogs there! He’s done a complete 180, and seeing that transformation has been such a huge relief. One of my favorite parts was the video updates Kendall sent throughout training. It was so reassuring to see Haze’s progress, and I could tell she genuinely cared about him. Honestly, I started joking that Haze wasn’t going to want to come home. 😂 The training gave both of us more structure, confidence, and clarity. It has completely changed our day-to-day life, and I truly can’t recommend K9 Ridgeside enough.

I have worked with fantastic professional trainers in the past but upon relocating and purchasing a new dog finding and working with Ridgeside K9 brings my training to the next level, not only are they amazing trainers, but they are a group of amazing people, they sincerely care about you and your dog, they are clear when helping you understand why you are doing what you are doing with your dog, and how to communicate with your dog, with Ridgeside training the dogs want to do what you ask, you are a team not fighting against each other, my dogs want to work, they have a healthy respect for their handler instead of fear or vindictiveness, my communication and relationship with my dog has been the strongest it’s ever been and has exceeded all my expectations, my dog waits for me by her leash to work, sincerely enjoys every lesson, and is confident, and stable in all environments. Ridgeside K9 has improved not only my dog’s life but mine, with their help I am able to thoroughly enjoy every moment with my dog and improve on myself while I’m at it. What I have been able to teach her so quickly and easily at only 7 months old with their guidance has exceeded all of my expectations. You will not regret investing in this program with your dog. And I cannot wait to continue working with them.

Thank you, Ridgeside! This team has some of the best trainers in the business. We had two, young (1 yr-old and 3 yr-old), large, strong-willed Australian Shepherds who really needed some basic training. The 3 yr-old had done obedience training when he was a puppy, but the 1 yr-old had not and was running the house. We could tell the 3 yr-old was getting agitated by his little sister's behavior and started asking around for help. This team came highly-recommended by our brother-in-law and we couldn't be happier with our experience! The dogs learned simple commands like sit and down, but what really has been such a relief for us, is the consistency in them being able to stay in 'place' and respond to 'here' when we needed them to return. For their own safety (i.e. not chase after cars if/when we accidentally drop the leash) and to discourage jumping or knocking down visitors, this has been a life saver. Kendall and Taylor, we owe you two ladies BIG TIME! Best trainers in the business. :) We can also tell how much the dogs loved you both and, clearly, they had a great time on 'vacation'. Ha. Thank you for everything you did with our pups during the board and train, we are forever grateful.

I can’t recommend Ridgeside K9 enough! I found them during a time of desperation when my recent 3 year old rescue, Shippo, started having more frequent fights with my boyfriend’s older Golden Retriever. I needed help teaching him to make better decisions, manage his energy, and improve his impulse control. As a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix, he has a lot of both! My first conversation was with Kendall, who immediately made me feel better by sharing her own experiences with her dogs and helping me feel less alone in the situation. She then connected me with Nikki, who was able to get us in quickly. I actually live in Delray Beach and drove 3.5 hours to Ocala for this program because that’s how comfortable and confident Ridgeside K9 made me feel from the very beginning. Soon after, I booked Shippo for a 4-week board and train with Amado. Honestly, it was a nerve-racking decision at first, but I couldn’t be happier that we did it. Amado kept me updated every step of the way with videos, photos, and detailed explanations of Shippo’s progress. He even made sure we got on a call to walk me through everything and answer my questions. One of the best parts of the experience was knowing Shippo wasn’t just being trained, he was genuinely being cared for and loved by everyone there. At pick up I could see the bond and mutual respect between him and Amado, which just confirmed that this was the right decision. When it was time for pickup, they encouraged us to bring our other dog to make sure there weren’t any lingering issues between them. From day one, they were very honest about managing expectations. They never promised the dogs would never fight again, but they did promise that Shippo would make better decisions and that we would leave with the tools and knowledge to help prevent future incidents. The pickup process itself was incredibly thorough. We spent several hours reviewing everything, watching Shippo demonstrate his training, and making sure we left with a clear understanding of how to continue reinforcing his progress at home. Now that he’s been home for a few days, I can already see a huge difference in his behavior but the best part is that he’s still the same goofy, lovable Shippo. He just actually has manners now! Lol I can’t thank Ridgeside K9 and Amado enough for helping us create a more comfortable and peaceful home environment and for helping Shippo become the best version of himself. We can’t wait to take him everywhere with us now. If you’re considering a board and train program and can make the investment, I 100% recommend Ridgeside K9. I drove 3.5 hours from Delray Beach because I wanted to leave Shippo with people I truly trusted, and it was absolutely worth it. You and your dog will be so happy you did.
