I personally cannot express how wonderful Mary Jo is to work with. Her ability to create a custom training program for each team of owner and dog. I was referred to Mary Jo through a close friend who has a similar dog breed and it was amazing how quickly she can call out the obedience in our newly adopted puppy Veda (1yr old at the time). Our lessons were private 1:1 (both in home and at her location) at first and pushing our dog to higher expectations quicker than most as I was in my final months of pregnancy. I cannot count how many times Mary Jo has stated “keep expectations high,” and with that catch phrase ingrained in the head, it is often a statement my husband and I now share. Now, she adores the baby and gets time to be just another kid in our household, but knowing to play gently. We had started some obedience classes with others at the end of our time with Mary Jo before our baby came and Veda was getting the hang of so many commands and working through distractions. We will be back come summer! You will not meet a dog trainer more involved in the process than Mary Jo. She goes above and beyond with reaching out with messages of “just thinking of you…” Just wonderful!

One of the best!!! Mary Jo has helped me with getting my dog back on the right track. He went from not knowing any commands, hating his kennel, and pulling on our walks; to learning many commands, loving his kennel, and loose leash walking. Mary Jo is AWESOME! She is so knowledgeable and very understanding of dog's behaviors. Though there are many different ways to train a dog, her technique is the perfect balance between positive reinforcement & traditional dog training. I had a very reactive dog and through weekly classes he and I have learned how to overcome and address situations that stress him out. Mary Jo has been a lifesaver! If you're starting out with a puppy or you have a mature adult dog, she can help teach you the proper way to train your dog to behave in an exceptable manner.
