ReviveK9 Dog Training

We foster failed our 75lb baby boy 2 years ago. He was used as a bait dog, and had 2 broken back legs. Once we decided to adopt him, I knew we needed to invest in an actual trainer. He was too big, to not walk well on a leash, and not behave in public or if someone came over. We chose to homeschool our pup with Maria, and that was amazing. She would pick him up and take him on field trips, work with him in the yard, and at the end we had sessions to learn how to execute the commands he was taught. We attend the monthly group sessions that are offered to brush up on skills (major bonus), and just finished a supplemental off leash training (with Catey), which was amazing! I had a work event last week and brought my dog with me (it was dog friendly) and everyone there, including staff, commented on how well behaved he was. Catey, and Maria, are both incredibly skilled and dedicated to the dogs they work with, you still need to put the work in, too, with daily practice sessions. But, they’re the real deal.

Catey helped me learn how to handle my excited, high-energy, reactive Australian Shepard/Lab mix, Maverick. We started with Catey when Mav was 6 months old after trying and failing training with another local company. I cannot say enough how grateful I am for Catey and Maria for helping me learn the best ways to work with my dog. Maverick went from not being able to be near a dog park or water without being very reactive, to now at a year and half years old he goes to restaurants with me. Catey was always available for my many frantic dog owner questions and is incredibly knowledgeable. We even did off-leash session with Catey to refine Maverick’s skills around triggers. Without Revive K9, I wouldn’t be able to do a roadtrip across the US with my dog. I would recommend them to ANYONE!

This is our second time using revive k9, this time for our younger dog. Raina was such a calm presence which made everything stress free, and she’s fabulous to work with. We had Catey as our trainer with our older dog and that had set the bar high. It’s comforting to know if we need refreshers on what we worked on, we can reach out. The graduate meet ups are also a great way to be around equally respectful owners and wonderful perk.

I wanted to stop by and express just how much I appreciate the Revive K9 team and especially Catey! My dog, Tator, was very reactive to the point that I was afraid of going on walks and having people over. Always scared he was going to bite someone. Catey came in and worked her magic on Tator! She never made me feel guilty and was always patient. I have an odd work schedule but she was flexible and understanding. Little by little, meeting once or twice a week, Tator kept on improving. He is now the good child when we go on walks!! We will be calling Revive K9 again for basic training with our other dog Charlie. Thank you again for all you did!!

We trained with Catey and it was wonderful from start to finish! She helped us set goals and worked with me and my dog, Doug, during our sessions and then gave us things we could work on in between sessions! She was so helpful in getting him certified with his CGC as well. We can’t recommend her and the rest of the trainers enough! We’re planning to do some more classes in the future with them too!
