Retriever Ridge Kennels

Keith trained our 2-year old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Nala, in the e-train program, and my husband and I are incredibly happy with our experience! Keith is an extremely knowledgeable trainer who expertly handled Nala‘s personality and was able to reverse the 'bad habits' that we had allowed our dog to pick up. Working with Keith not only gave us an obedient dog (and considering the Rhodesian breed, that speaks heavily of the quality of training Keith provides) but also the tools to become better dog owners. Keith involved us in training from the very beginning, sending us video updates of Nala‘s progress along the way. Even as our dog finished the program, he continues to work with us as questions arise.

We just picked up our lab Tess from Keith. She had been previously trained by another trainer and there were some holes in her training. Keith did a great job working with her and getting her prepared for duck season this year. Keith is very responsive and sends progress videos of where your dog is throughout training which is hard to find. He is very detailed in his training and takes very good care of the dogs. Overall it was a first class experience and all of my future dogs will be going to Keith for their training! He is the best in the business!!

Kieth does amazing work! Huck spent 11-12 months in the duck program and hasn’t failed me yet. My next dog will absolutely be taken to him. He’s very responsive on any questions and quick to inform of any issues. Kieth also keeps you informed of your dogs progress which is a tough attribute to find in some trainers these days. Training at this kennel is a full family project. His daughter took very good care of Huck along side kieth, (and she spoiled him more often than not 😄) Huck has made 250+ plus retrieves since his training days and is coming along very nicely. My only hope is that I can continue to do justice for kieth and Hicks hard work.

I sent my 1yr old lazy chocolate lab to Keith in the spring for duck dog program. Received many videos and communications about the progress of his training through the months. When I picked him up I first noticed a love and drive for retrieving!! He was dialed in on everything Keith was working on. He took a timid, laid back lazy dog and made a huge leap into what I’m sure will be a hunting partner I’ll be glad to have in any blind!

Keith worked with my dad’s one year old, female (crazy!) yellow lab and did wonders with her! She use to chase our cows…especially the small calves, she would jump all over people, and was generally disobedient most of the time…it was really frustrating. Finally asked Keith if he would train her, and he agreed. She came home a totally different dog than when she went to Keith…and we are now a year out from her training and she is still doing so well! She is so sweet and pleasant to be around now. We highly recommend Keith and his group.
