Nick at Red and Blue Dog training is the best at training dogs! If you are having issues with your dog, Nick can solve the hardest of problems. He trained my dog Fred and got to know our dog so well and his issues and listened to what behaviors we wanted to work on and tailored the program to our dogs needs. The program he designed for our dog worked so well and so quickly. My dog Fred is a rescue who is very stubborn but very smart with confidence issues who is skiddish. Nick was able to get Fred to respond and trust him and now he is well behaved and has more confidence. Fred is able to walk well on a leash, come, sit, stay, place on his bed and stay as well as heel. He also does not jump on people anymore due to the training. The great part about this program is Nick does the heavy lifting with the issues/training and you carry on the training. If you think he cannot make progress with your dog, you are wrong, Nick makes miracles happen. He changed the atmosphere in our home to be comfortable and controlled. It is a happy home now! I cannot thank Nick enough! We appreciate all you have done for our family.

I have to been to a number of trainers and behavioralists, including some of Boston’s ‘best’, for my 3 year old rescue, Clarence. None have come anywhere close to the effectiveness of Nick and his methodology. Clarence, or C, is 75 pounds of smarts, strength, and strong-will — and prone to some anxiety and protective behaviors. We went to Nick to help with everything from leash pulling, jumping on visitors, and reactivity to dogs and strangers. Two weeks with Nick was transformative. Today, those behaviors are so much more in check. C is calmer, more confident, and listens so well; he walks at heel and on a loose leash like a champ, and is so much more at ease around other humans. And i am so much better with him. Family and friends have all remarked on the transformation. “He’s so good” was not something I used to hear!! Nick’s kindness toward, patience for, and understanding of Clarence (and Clarence’s humans!) and all dogs in all environments was unparalleled. And his regular updates throughout the long training sessions helped us see and learn alongside Clarence’s training. We got so so much value from this training program. I also have to underscore how much Clarence loved (loves!) Nick. He was so excited for every session that he’d get up two hours early just to sit by the window and wait for Nick every morning: Seeing how much my pup trusts, loves, and looks up to Nick (even more than me!) was the best endorsement this wary momma needed.

This training was life changing! I had given up on walking my dog Willy due to his pulling and dragging me towards other dogs and people. We also could not have guests over to our home due to his jumping. Now Willy listens and is a well behaved dog due to Nick’s training. Nick is a life saver! He really changed the quality of our life for the better. I am able to walk Willy with no issues as he listens and obeys me even with distractions of other dogs and people. We also now have guests over to our home without jumping and barking. The process Nick uses for training worked remarkably well for Willy and our family. Nick sent many video updates throughout the day to keep us involved in Willy’s progress. Nick was able to teach me the techniques used easily and we implemented in our home and now we have a peaceful home. I cannot thank Nick enough! The cost is worth every cent.. Would highly recommend Nick! Nick helped us with our 120lb boy, Chance. Chance needed a refresher on his obedience, better on-leash walking skills, and help with his reactivity to other male dogs. He catered each of our training sessions to be the most effective for the time we had in our sessions and to fit exactly what we needed to work on the most each week. Chance is now doing so much better with his obedience, is walking like a good boy on leash, can walk in an off-leash heal, and has shown to be a lot better with his reactiveness as we regained control. Nick gave us the tools to best handle our big guy in these situations. It’s a night and day difference and so nice to not feel frustrated every time you’re talking a walk because of your dog pulling, etc. Chance now feels more confidence in himself and we have noticed a huge difference in him already. Nick is also really great to work with personally. He really takes the time to make sure you understand everything that he is going over. We really enjoyed working with him and getting to know him. Highly highly recommend. We just finished a two week training program with Nick for our two year old rescue dog Paco. Paco came to us very tentative and skittish after spending a few months in a local shelter. Nick had him feeling much more confident and relaxed on day 1. I was amazed to see how quickly Paco was heeling and able to be off leash with great responsiveness and recall within days of beginning the program. Nick catered the program to exactly what Paco needed and kept us in the loop every step of the way with tons of videos, pictures and texts letting us know how the day was going. The training program took them on adventures all over the place allowing Paco to build confidence and learn that the world can be a fun place. Paco was always excited for Nick to pick him up in the morning and will definitely miss galavanting around with him throughout the day. Nick also spent a lot of time teaching us how to continue working with Paco so the transition has been seamless since the two week program ended. He took time to take us on walks and off leash adventures with Paco so we could get the 1 on 1 training that has really helped to reinforce all the great habits Nick instilled in Paco throughout the program. Overall, this is the best training program and trainer I have encountered in 13 years of quirky shelter dog ownership. Highly recommend for any and all dog training needs.
