Really Special Animals

We first started working with RSA 10 years ago when our pup started having some reactive issues. I have always said that RSA saved my pup and helped her get to the point of living a normal life. They helped us work through her reactivity to the point where she could be around other dogs safely, including attending daycare. She also advanced to being CGC certified and joined a variety of other classes for fun as well. Eventually we adopted a second dog with his own “quirks” and again, RSA helped us to give him the best life possible. In addition to all of the training, RSA also provided boarding for our dogs on many occasions, allowing us to know our dogs were safe and well cared for. Our only complaint would be when RSA relocated to a distance that was a bit too far for us. Regardless of location though, I know I can always count on RSA. Over the years whenever any concerns/questions have popped up, I can always count on RSA for a quick response and support. It is so comforting knowing that we have someone who loves our dogs like their own and that we can always rely on and trust to help in any way possible.

We are so grateful to have found RSA through a friend. We have two Aussies that just turned one and we were in desperate need for training. A friend of ours used Barbara Jean for training their dog and couldn't say enough about her. Our dogs were difficult to walk on leashes. I struggled everyday trying to have them walk and not go crazy when they saw other dogs or people. Barbara Jean came to our house for lessons and in a matter of less than 20 minutes, our dogs went from fighting and pulling to walking loose leash. It is a pleasure to walk them now. The behavioral problems we worked on was jumping on us and on the back door when we went to let them out. One visit from Barbara Jean and it was rectified. She is an amazing trainer and just doesn't show you what to do but explains the reasoning behind everything we are teaching our dogs. That way it makes so much sense for us. My husband and I call her the "dog whisperer." Having her help us with our dogs has been a game changer. I especially like the fact that she comes to our home so there are less distractions for the pups and us. If you are struggling with your dogs, check RSA out. If you told me a few months ago that someday I would be able to walk my dogs loose leash, I wouldn't have believed you. We are believers now for sure! RSA and Barbara Jean are truly the best! Barbara Jean and her team are fantastic! Our big boy Newman was boarded there and came back home to us with some leash skills! Very thankful for that added bonus. Barbara Jean also took the time to show us the training techniques to help us continue with his progress. Although Newman may not be the most playful pup in daycare, I think he's happy to get over to RSA weekly to just say 'Hi!' to the team and spread his slobber throughout!
