About Ready, Set…Train!

Our mission at Ready, Set… Train! is to strengthen the relationship between dogs and humans by creating an open line of communication. We believe in training dogs and teaching people. Dogs learn appropriate ways to act and how to ask for things they want, and people learn how to better understand and communicate with their dogs. Compassion and positive reinforcement is the foundation to accomplishing understanding between you and your canine companion. Training is a partnership. Both the human and animal side of the relationship are important.

Puppy Start Right PreSchool Human only Orientation and 4 Themed Classes Prepare your puppy for a lifetime at your side! Did you know the best time to socialize your puppy is between 7 to 12 weeks of age? Experiences during this time can influence how your dog will interact with the world for the rest of their life! Join the FUN! We expose your puppy to other dogs, people, sights, sounds, and objects at a level they can handle to form beneficial associations. Fun Class Activities Include! Introduce your dog to the exciting world of agility training! Build a stronger bond with your dog by working as a team to complete an AKC Agility course. Your dog will be challenged both mentally and physically fulfilling many dogs need for exercise and work. This class covers foundational agility skills and obstacles while helping to burn energy and strengthen your bond with your pup. We will teach you how to maneuver and cue your dog through an agility course. The goal is to build your dogs confidence on each obstacle so they enjoy the sport! Each week we go over rules and teach new behaviors until your dog knows all the requirements for AKC agility. To participate in this class your dog must have completed our Beginner Good Manners Class or have a been approved by one of our trainers. Rally obedience
Program details
AKC Rally is one of four companion events (obedience, Rally, agility, and tracking). AKC Rally develops better teamwork between you and your dog, as well as sharpens your dog’s obedience skills and behavior – at home and in public. This class is for Int/Adv class level. You and your dog navigate a course together, side-by-side, at your own brisk pace. You move your dog through a course with signs where they perform different exercises. The courses include various turns and commands such as sit, down, stay, etc. You are allowed unlimited communication with your dog. The handler may use communication such as verbal commands, clapping your hands, patting your legs and using hand signals to praise and encourage your dog. This class is for those just starting out in canine sports for competition or just wanting to take basic obedience to the next level. This is a 5 week class. I have ordered (to start with) from Ready, Set….Train, 5 sessions with Max MACHON. I was hesitant, to say the least, that he could possibly train & make me comfortable with a 6-7 year old Labradoodle that at times, was out of control! A loveable guy (not Max), but my doggie, I wanted to try it - not expecting much change. O M G! In such a short time (we are only thru 4 sessions), the change in his behavior is unbelievable! I am only now really starting to enjoy this love-bug! Max is calm & excellent with my dog. ITS A MIRACLE!!!! I can’t say enough wonderful things about this company & Max! I am so thankful you guys came into our lives!!!!

I've taken 7 of my dogs to Max's classes. He trains us to train and even after graduation, gives us the tools to successfully communicate with our pups and thus get their best behavior. I've learned so much and because of these classes several of my jealous dogs have stopped guarding behavior and each one now has a great recall and responds enthusiastically as Max teaches us to always be positive with our dogs and motivate them. My dogs all love going to class and so do I! Every student gets one-on-one coaching to assist with perfecting the techniques and timing of rewards. Max also has other trainers assisting during class so you're never alone in wondering how to achieve best results with the different commands you learn. Max said "dogs live in the moment" and that has really stuck with me and given me so much better understanding how to motivate my dogs. I encourage all my dog friends and clients to take classes here and form that irreplaceable bond that ensues when we can effectively communicate with our dogs. I've also started Rally classes and am able to be off-leash with my Malinois boy. The things I've learned have added so much to his need for constant mind and body workouts. I'm blessed to have found Ready Set Train. Thank you for sharing your knowledge Max, Megan, Corey and others that assist. Your patience, positivity, and love of animals encourages me every day. Ready, Set...Train! has been such a support to us thus far on our journey to training and integrating our new puppy to the pack. Max has gone above and beyond to support us in our goals with individual sessions at home and in the community, and Cory provides great support in group training classes. They gave me the confidence to know that we can support all of our pets appropriately and has given our new puppy a great start on her road to therapy dog training! Every interaction has been comfortable, informative, and supportive.

RST is an excellent training program for dogs. Max was a wealth of knowledge on how to best train my 4 yo puppy mill rescue and get over Bennys trust issues in 5 at home sessions! Th remaining 2 sessions were spent brushing up on what he learned in th previous 5 sessions. I now have a very compliant, predictable dog while in public, a true joy for a former 27 yr cat owner.
