Rascal Training & Boarding

Rascal Training has saved our family from a lot of grief and anxiety, thanks to Zoe, Madison and Kyran. Our 7 year old dog Geddy was reactive, had massive stranger danger and a lack of quite a few boundaries and self control. After a minor biting incident we decided we HAD to do something and enrolled Geddy in the 6 week training camp at Rascal. He truly was a different dog in the best way when we picked him up. Since then he has been a frequent boarder and weekly Field Day participant, and our whole family rests much easier knowing Geddy is well taken care of and he is always a little bit better behaved every time we pick him up. If you have a dog with issues of almost any kind, I highly recommend you check out Rascal Training - they are very receptive to working on whatever issues maybe come up with your dog, big or small. Geddy loves being there!!!

My dog stayed with Zoe and her team last summer for four weeks to work on basic obedience skills and socialization with other dogs. Because she went through their training program, she is now able to board with them when I travel and participate in field days. Having this group of humans who love and care for my dog in my absence has been so incredible and the easiest and most seamless process. The training program has allowed me to have more experiences with my dog and feel more confident bringing her into new spaces. Zoe is always available whenever I have questions about how to address new behaviors. The folks at Rascal are a second family to my dog and I know she and I would be lost without them.

Our experience with Rascal Training has been so positive. Zoe is incredibly thoughtful about her work and is extremely skilled as a dog trainer. We were in (dare I say desperate) need of some help with our GSP puppy, Joey. When he was 9 months, our training skills and occasional professional training sessions wasn’t cutting it with the most rambunctious high energy pup, so we sent him for 5 weeks to board and train. Joey learned e-collar conditioning, recall, basic obedience and how to walk appropriately on a leash. For context, before Zoe’s help, Joey was door dashing, not coming when we called him, pulling with all his might on walks and bringing us literally to the ground. Our life with Joey is still wild but he is so much easier to handle now. He gets to go on walks everyday and is learning to jog alongside me. Joey will be going back to Rascal Training for brush up help over I imagine many years to come to keep up his training. He also just loved it there and made so many friends. So grateful we found Zoe and her team!!

Our dog has been a frequent visitor at Rascal Training and Boarding for the last 2.5 years. Dottie had a rough go at her first couple of months of life. When we rescued her at 4 months, she had already been abandoned in California, traveled to Oregon, and lived in 3 different shelters. She was feral, to say the least. We found Rascal through Mother Pupper and thought that a Board and Train program would be the best way to help set Dottie up for navigating the world safely and learn how to be a dog! From our first conversation with Zoe, we felt heard and taken care of. Dottie stayed with Zoe and her team for 4 weeks when she was 8 months old. Zoe and her team really did such a fantastic job helping Dottie to learn her basics, but also taught her how to have fun. Which really meant the most to us. Dottie is a pro with her recall and we have never had a single issue with her off leash. Dottie continues to join the crew over at Rascal for boarding and field days. Madison is so great with Dottie and we often joke that Dottie would go home with her if she could! We know that when our pup is at Rascal, she is more than well taken care of. We are so grateful for everyone over at Rascal and wouldn't have the dog we have today without them!
