Randy and Scott at Alpha Canine took extra special care of our 2 year-old female German shepherd Luna, and her progress over just a few weeks was amazing. Aside from the work they did with Luna, the most impressive thing is how they work with the owners. They are so patient and helped us understand what we need to do going forward. Our dogs can now coexist because of how they worked with Luna, and we’d recommend Alpha Canine to anyone!

The AK9 staff and Randy are genuine, professional, caring and fully- knowledgeable in training man’s best friend. The outcome results of my 3 year old shepherd mix are exceptional and has greatly enhanced our lives together. My dog and I are always together and he gets several compliments of how well behaved/ mannered he is while we are in public places. Randy’s 4 week program was worth every penny to me. A few months ago I sent my high energy, crazy wild GSD Koda to Randy & Team and I wanted to share my experience. I adopted Koda when he was already a year old so he had some not so wonderful habits. I live in Texas and worked with Randy to have Koda trained in the Nashville facility. The communication, progress videos and follow up answers to my many questions make Alpha K9 stand out. It’s clear they care about every family and want not only the dogs to be successful in their training but the owners as well. I joke that we were both trained because Randy had to tell me how to change my habits to bring out the best in Koda 🤣. What was once a battle to walk and take him places is now fun (and I do like to show off his training when we are out). I have had people comment on how well behaved he is when we are in places like Petco while their dogs are going crazy. The peace of mind it gives me to know I can take him places and have people over is everything to me. I did not realize how much I appreciated the training Koda received until the first few times I needed to depend on it and it worked! For example; when the internet tech came to my house and the place command worked perfectly or when my 4 yr old grandson left the front door open and we had to use the recall command. I can't say enough good things about Randy and his team at Alpha Canine in Nashville. From the moment that I emailed him about our dog, Randy was responsive and professional. Fast forward to 30 days later and we were coming in for training classes ourselves, before taking our dog home. The whole experience was easy on both us and our dog. As a VETERINARIAN, I have been the one over my career, to refer clients and their pets for training/behavior modification. So I felt out-of-place and honestly, a little embarrassed, to be calling Randy about our own dog. My wife and I had been noticing subtle changes in his behavior, with him becoming more erratic and un-controllable in public. Since he has completed the training and has been back home, we have noticed and night and day difference. He no longer pulls on his leash when walking, heeling right beside my wife. He is responsive to commands and we no longer worry about not being able to control him in public. Through Randy, we came to realize that this will always be a work in progress. Dogs want to continually learn and be challenged. This will require continued dedication and work on our part to take what he has learned and continue to apply it daily. This is something that I can not emphasize enough. Randy gives both you, THE OWNER, and your dog, the tools to succeed long term. But this requires consistent work and dedication to want to continually work on and improve your dogs behavior. Took our puppy Penny to Randy and his team. Penny is a mountain cur mix with a lot of energy and drive. We tried doing one of those group training classes before with no luck so wanted to give the board and train an option. When our dog returned it was like night and day. Our dog is now great on leash and no longer pulls. More importantly, Randy worked with us and taught us how to manage our dog. I'm looking forward to using Randy for boarding which comes with additional training. You get what you pay for and with all of the 5 star reviews you know you are going to get the best with Alpha Canine.
