R+ Dog

Janette and her team at R Plus Dog are truly some of the best dog trainers I’ve ever met! I’ve had dogs my entire life, but was a bit outmatched with my rescue cocker spaniel. Not only was the team at R Plus so patient with her (even when she went into attack mode), they also were very honest in what was going to be best for her (even if it meant less money for them). She went from not going in a crate for them or accepting treats, to being so happy that I’d feel comfortable boarding her here. They’re also extremely flexible when it comes to rescheduling!

I went to R+ Dog so my pup Olive could attend puppy school. As a first time dog owner I had no idea what I was doing and going to Janette’s puppy school was one of the best decisions I made. It socialized Olive with all different sizes of dogs, learned basic commands, and had a safe environment where it could be done. Since I had a great experience at puppy school I reached back out to Janette with private lessons because Olive was leash pulling on our walks and wanted to work on our recall skills. Now, we see Janette twice a week for the day school program where Olive can continue her training and socialize with dogs.

Excellent dog training and boarding! We have been going to R+ dog for almost a year now whenever we go out of town (but first started with a week of board & train) and while their prices are a bit higher for just overnight boarding than those of a normal board, they actually do training and field trips and give attention to your pup so it’s worth it! The only dislike I had originally was the lack of cameras in comparison to other places, BUT R+ Dog posts a lot on their instagram story so you can see your pup a couple of times during the days. I always know our dog is in great hands and loved on at R+ Dog! I would recommend this spot to anyone in the greater metro area.
