Purpose Driven K9 Dog Training

Effective, balanced training and compassionate, professional people! We sent a very challenging, adopted dog to a week of PDK9’s board and train program but had the unusual situation of having to euthanize him within days of his returning home due to a rare, incurable and untreatable genetic disorder. When Margaret was notified of this she offered to help us find a new dog and provide free training to make up for the loss of our dog and the training that couldn’t be put to use. Melvin evaluated a potential new pit mix for us which we ended up adopting based on his recommendation. Only lacking some manners, Louie came back from the training happy and well-mannered and is the best dog we’ve had. Thank you, PDK9!

I took Elmo here for a week of Board and Train. Margaret listened to my concerns of wanting Elmo trained. In a week's time she had him walking loose leash and learning his place . She also taught him door manners and learn to come when called. He was so uncontrollable at door before we could ever go on a walk. She has set us both up for success. I would recommend anyone who needs your dog trained to take it to them. You will be amazed how knowledgeable she is on getting your dog trained the right way. . I will be taking Elmo back for sociable and boarding. So Thank you for setting Elmo and i up for success.

Kolby came back from training school a whole new dog. I am beyond impressed with his progress & how much he learned last week. There’s already so many major changes in his behavior. Both trainers are personable, knowledgeable & Kolby loved them! They’re great to work with! They make sure you understand everything & explain it very thoroughly. I have nothing but good things to say!! 10/10 recommend! I can’t wait to go on trails, hiking, parks, taking him out places and so much more now that he has learned off leash manners & leash manners. He’s always been a smart dog, but it is mind blowing how much he learned in a week!! Obviously, we still have more practice to do, but I look forward to all the new activities we can do together! Margaret is so good at understanding dog behaviors.... minute details that make or break success in training. She is able to explain things from a dogs perspective so that you can really understand the "whats" and "whys" of the training process. I appreciate the time she took in evaluating our skill level and moving 'our training' at a pace that we were comfortable with.
