Our nonprofit has been collaborating with Pups to Pooches to help more behaviorally-challenged dogs develop the skills they need to life harmoniously with the veterans who adopt them and to avoid the dogs being surrendered to shelters. One such case is an Air Force veteran and her adopted dog, Hanna, who showed serious aggression issues following her adoption. Our veteran was devastated by the shelter trainer's recommendation that Hanna be euthanized. Pups 2 Pooches was nothing short of lifesaving, for both Hanna and her human. An initial, in-depth consultation revealed that Hanna was not a euthanasia candidate after all. With proper tools and guidance from Pups 2 Pooches, Hanna is thriving and her veteran has regained her sense or purpose. In fact, I'll paraphrase something our veteran said at the end of a recent virtual training session - thank you for saving Hanna's life and, by extension, the veteran's as well. It's clear that in a short period of time that Pups 2 Pooches developed a strong rapport with our veteran and her dog, and are giving them even more tools to create their future success. Don't give up on a "problem" dog before contacting Pups 2 Pooches. Tell them Hanna sent you!
